I do not want large internet companies snooping my emails, schedules, and contacts. I do not subscribe to the “free” business models that make me the product. This is why I use tutanota. I like everything about it. I like that it had a desktop client, I like that it’s calendar works, and I like that the devs pushed a lot of improvements in 2022.

If you wish to de-google and use an open source private e-mail, this one’s for you. Even the free plan is good enough for casual users, this also allows you to experience it first hand before deciding to purchase their plans.

I’ve long been a graduate from mainstream apps like Gmail, Yahoomail, Facebook, Google and the likes. Many of them have so many security and privacy issues. They keep track of you and profile you every time you use their apps. They keep all data about you since the beginning in their databases forever. I found a home to this free, simple, private and secure email app. Eventhough you are subject to DoS/DDoS attacks by some nasty perpetrators you will still be my home email. Keep improving and developing Tutanota because you are giving a great service to a lot of people who want peace, security and privacy. Thank you and more power to Tutanota.
