I regret that I didn’t give this app a real chance but after trying it out for awhile, I love it! It has all the features I needed e.g. ability to import ios Reminders, "Inbox" section where you can just jot down tasks without worrying about the scheduling or tagging, lots of customization options for easy scheduling and swipe actions (I chose left to mark task as done and right to schedule), ability to add tags and also search tasks by tag (and not just by the task name), annoying alert feature for tasks that need constant reminding until handled, “Completed” tasks section that logs tasks by the date it was completed (so I can glance at what I accomplished and when in the past) and finally the Apple watch app where I can view all the tasks and lists, etc -all this for free! I even prefer this app over the more popular and paid app, Things 3 because it allows me to quickly set a due date/reminder e.g. with customizable scheduling options, I can instantly set a reminder to 10 min later, Tomorrow morning or next week with just a single tap… which is far more convenient than using the date/time picker!

Ive never really been a fan of these sorts of “personal planner” “todo” apps as i find they rarely ever actually help me get anything done and instead become more of an annoyance if anything and provide a kphjillion different ways to customise the app and my workflow for planning and i find this to just become overwhelming. TickTicks by far the only one ive used so far that manages to avoid this by being extremely fast and efficient to use to note down tasks i have to do and also giving me immediate ways to organise whatever task i have by specifying a date or tags.That said though id *love* to have an option to be able to self host a server for Ticktick locally and being able to connect to that. Its just something i like to be in control of and I already do with my password manager of choice (bitwarden).

Tick tick is one of the best application I have used to manage my short term as well long term goals through accomplishing tasks organised in an intuitive manner in this app. This app is easy to implement GTD method as explained by David Allen. Following things may be added to this app :1. Project management section with scheduling and Gantt chart views.2. Step by step implementation of GTD method starting from capturing to actually do the actions in systematic manner.3. There should be a button in-front of each task to start Pomo.4. Time blocking feature should be added which shows how much time is allocated to each task in whole week view, so that you actually know how much tasks you can perform in this week keeping in view already committed tasks and their duration/time slots. E.g if in a week there are 168 hrs and you have allotted 50 hrs to some tasks and there is a margin of 20 hrs more for planning tasks then this info would be very useful to plan a week and for better tracking of your weekly progress
