CLAUDE & MCP CONNECTOR (MAC) - The Mac app now includes a helper that lets AI assistants (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cowork) read and change your spaces, projects, columns, and tasks, including subtasks, locations, links, and cover images. - Settings ▸ Connector shows the one-line command or configuration to copy. Everything stays on your Mac and syncs through iCloud like any other edit. MULTI-SELECT CONTEXT MENU - With several tasks selected, right-click or long-press one of them for Flag/Unflag, Priority, Due Date (Today, Tomorrow, Next Week, Pick Date & Time…, Remove), Move to, Add Tag with New Tag…, Export Attachments, and Delete, all applied to every selected task. - Works on the board, in project lists, and in the smart lists. TAGS FROM THE CONTEXT MENU - Right-click or long-press a task and choose Add Tag to see every tag you have. Tap one to add it, or tap a checked one to remove it. - New Tag… at the bottom creates a tag, attaches it to the task, and opens the tag editor so you can name it and pick its icon and color. CALENDAR - Month and week views show tasks as their board cards (title, subtitle, tags, priority, flag, and note, attachment, and link badges) wherever a day column is wide enough. Narrow layouts keep the compact chips, and subtasks always stay chips. - Settings ▸ General ▸ Calendar Opens In picks Week or Month for every visit, or Last Used to keep whatever you left it on. SUBTASKS - Drag the grip at the right of a subtask to reorder your checklist, both under the note header and in Task Details. NOTES - Inline code and code blocks no longer turn into unreadable black boxes when a note written on another device is opened. The code background is now the same soft gray everywhere, and existing notes are corrected as they load. DIVIDERS - Adding a divider to a column sorted by due date, priority, or title now switches that column back to Manual order so the divider appears. It used to be added invisibly. DUE DATES - Pick Date & Time… from a task's context menu now opens at full height on iPhone, so the calendar, Set Time, and the Cancel/Set buttons are all visible. PROJECTS - Right-click or long-press a project in the sidebar and choose New Project in Space to add a sibling project without going up to the space. SHORTCUTS - The Add Task action gains Subtitle, Location (Current Location, a searched place, or a location from an earlier action), and Attachments (any files; each becomes an attachment on the new task). - The Get Tasks action's List field now offers Inbox and Flagged alongside Today and Upcoming, and can still be left blank for every open task.

Subtasks, locations, a calendar, and more ways to sort and filter! Subtasks * Every task can now have a checklist of subtasks — add them from the task's details, or straight from the "Subtasks" and "Add Subtask" buttons at the top of a task note * Each subtask can carry its own due date and fires its own reminder; "Mark Done" on the reminder checks off just that subtask * Cards and rows show a small pie that fills in as subtasks get done * A repeating task carries its checklist onto the next occurrence, unchecked and with any subtask due dates shifted along with it * Don't want subtasks? Switch them off in Settings ▸ General and they disappear everywhere Locations * Give a task a place: type a business name or an address in the task's details and pick from the suggestions (allow location access to see places near you) * A map-pin badge on cards, rows, and at the top of the task shows which tasks have a location * On iPhone, turn on "Notify When Arriving" or "Notify When Leaving" under the due date and Kan Do reminds you when you get there or head out (this needs "Always" location access; Kan Do never stores or shares your location) Calendar * A new Calendar smart list beside Inbox, Today, Upcoming, and Flagged shows every task and subtask with a due date on a month grid or a week view * Step back and forward by week or month, jump to Today, and switch between Week and Month (Kan Do remembers your choice) * Show everything, or just one tag or one project * Tap an item to open its task; right-click or long-press for tags, due date, and the usual task actions * Drag an item onto another day to reschedule it * Completed items follow your Task Completion setting: shown struck through under "Keep on Board", hidden under "Move to Archive" * Hide or show the Calendar like any other smart list in Settings ▸ Library Sort and filter * Sort any column, list-view heading, or the Today / Upcoming / Flagged / Inbox lists by Due Date, Creation Date, Priority, or Title — earliest or latest first — from the column's "…" menu or the list's new toolbar button * Manual stays the default so you can keep dragging cards where you want them; choosing a sort turns off dragging within that column, while dragging a card into it from another column still works * Filter any column or list to a single tag * Sort and filter choices are remembered per column and per list on each device Also * Settings ▸ General ▸ "Show Task Counts for Spaces": an open-task count next to each Space in the sidebar * Apple Watch: browse a Space, then a project, then a column to see and check off its tasks — every workspace, right on your wrist Fixes * Adding a link inside a note no longer forces "https://" onto links that already have their own scheme, so Mail message links (message:…), mailto:, and app links work from notes just as they do from Task Links

Attachments & Links - Attachments now save instantly, everywhere, no more added files quietly going missing from a task - Adding an attachment or link updates the task immediately: the icons under the task title, the Task Details lists, and the note itself all refresh the moment you add one - The document icon on a task is now clickable. See every attachment at a glance and open one right from the list, just like the link icon - The link and attachment popovers now show up to seven items before scrolling instead of a cramped couple of rows Boards - Dragging a divider to a new spot now sticks, it no longer snaps back to where it was Notes - Two new Code Font choices: JetBrains Mono and JetBrains Mono Extra Light — a favorite coding typeface, now built in - New Code Size setting in Settings ▸ Typography: keep code matched to your note size, or set its own size (like 13 pt code under 20 pt text) - Fixed a Mac issue where a note's latest changes could be lost if the window was hidden or covered before saving finished

A fix-focused update: attachments get a proper home in Task Details, reminders fire when they should, and a batch of the most-reported bugs are gone on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Attachments - New Attachments section in Task Details: every image and file in a task's note, listed in one place - Tap an attachment to preview it in Quick Look - Add attachments right from there, choose from Photos or Files - Swipe to remove an attachment (right-click on Mac) - Long-press an attachment in a note (right-click on Mac) to open, share, or remove it - Tasks with attachments now show a small document icon on their card Notes - Type *** on its own line to insert a dividing line Due Dates & Reminders - Tasks with a due time now turn red the moment that time passes, no more waiting until tomorrow. Date-only tasks still wait for the next day - Fixed reminders that never arrived when set just minutes ahead - Fixed reminders lost by locking your phone right after setting a due date - Fixed reminders on busy boards being silently dropped past the system's limit — the soonest alerts now always win - Tasks added straight to Today or Upcoming schedule their reminders immediately Boards - Reorder Columns now actually reorders the board, not just the list in the popup - The reorder drag handles are back on Mac - Moving a task with oversized attachments no longer bounces back with a dead-end alert: the move works, and the alert now tells you exactly what's too big — with a one-tap Remove Cover Image button when that's the fix - Deleting attachments from a too-large task now saves every time, so you can always shrink a task back under the sync limit Sync - If your device's local database ever has conflicting copies of an item, Kan Do protects your data by hiding it, and now tells you: Settings > Sync shows exactly how many items are affected and points to the one-tap fix (Re-download from iCloud) - Sync's Recent Activity log now reports duplicate boards and columns, not just tasks

NEW • Duplicate Project: right-click (Mac) or long-press (iPhone/iPad) a project in the sidebar to make a full copy — columns, tasks, and tags included — with a name of your choice. • Links, reorganized: tap the link chip under a task's title to see every link in one place — links in the note and the task's own links — with page names fetched automatically. Add Link there adds to the task's Links list. • Named links in notes: the link tool in the note toolbar now links your selected text, or inserts a link with custom text right at the cursor. • Links now accept any app or URL type — messages://, shortcuts://, mailto:, and more — not just web and file links. • Alert Until Done can now remind you every hour or every 3 hours (in the task's due-date settings). • New setting: Hide Column Counts hides the task-count numbers next to column names on boards and lists. FIXED • Creating a task on iPhone: tapping the blue check now saves the task and closes the window instead of adding a blank line to the title. • Shortcuts: a task's Due Date, Title, Note, and Tags can now be used as variables — creating Reminders with the date and time from a Kan Do task works. • Typing a link in Task Details no longer kicks you out of the field after the first character. • Links added from the popover now appear immediately in the Task Details list. • Fixed the app freezing (spinning wheel) on large boards when completing tasks or returning to the app. • Fixed a crash that could happen silently in the background while iCloud sync was saving changes. • Apple Watch: circular complications now show their labels on watch faces that support them.

Search is Here! Tap the magnifying glass on the main screen to search everything: projects, tasks, notes, and tags. Toggle on Completed or Archived to find more results, and tap any result to jump to that task on its board. Bigger Attachments Notes can now hold files up to 75 MB each - PDFs, videos, documents, anything. Attachments sync reliably across all your devices as their own lightweight records. A smoother way to add tasks - Clicking "Add task" now closes any open task panel and highlights the field so Return always creates your task - New tasks scroll into view at the bottom of their column - Choose where the big + button sends new tasks: the Unsorted column or your first column (Settings ▸ General) Columns - Right-click or long-press on any column to open its menu. - There are new "Archive All Tasks" and "Unarchive All Tasks" options. - When you delete a column, the system asks if you want to archive or delete its tasks. No data is removed without a prompt. Notes - Pasted text now adopts your Typography settings instead of keeping the source app's fonts and colors - Typography changes apply to open notes instantly - Checkbox fixes: backspace removes an empty checkbox cleanly, and pasting can no longer create doubled checkboxes And more - Tapping a notification now opens the task it's about - "Alert Until Done" reliably stops alerting once a task is completed - Checking off a task closes its details panel - Keyboard shortcuts on Mac: Esc fully deselects, Delete removes the selected task (undoable), X marks it complete - One tap starts editing a task's title on iPhone - Removing a cover image is now one tap on the red trash icon - Apple Watch complications now appear after updating, not just fresh installs

Duplicate a task Right‑click (or long‑press) any task and choose Duplicate. The copy keeps the title, subtitle, notes, links, cover image, tags, due date and reminders, priority, flag, and repeat rule, and lands right below the original. On Mac, ⌘D duplicates the selected task. Undo removes the copy. A better due‑date picker Pick Date & Time… in the Due Date menu now opens a compact popup: type a date or click one on the calendar, and check Set Time only when a time matters. Leave it unchecked and the task is due on that day with no time attached. Smoother boards Fixed the jerky horizontal scrolling on iOS and Mac — columns no longer snap to the left edge while you swipe. Control Center The New Task control now reliably opens Kan Do straight into a fresh Inbox task, whether the app is running or not. Checklists in notes In a task's notes, pressing Return on a checkbox line adds a new checkbox; press Return again on an empty box to go back to plain text — just like bullets and numbered lists. Links to files The Links section now accepts a path to a file or folder on your Mac (/Users/you/… or ~/…). Click it to reveal the item in Finder. Smaller things - Adding a divider places it below the selected task instead of always at the top of the column. - "Add Tag" is now "Edit Tags" everywhere. - Task Details moved from ⌘D to ⌘I on Mac to make room for Duplicate.

iCloud sync, rebuilt - Changes from your other devices now appear in place. No more full-screen refreshes, lost cursor position, or menus closing on you mid-action. - Edits are saved field-by-field, so a change on one device can no longer quietly overwrite a newer change from another. If two devices edit the same note at once, both versions are kept. - Reordering tasks now updates only the moved card, so boards stay in the same order everywhere. - Fixed crashes when a task was deleted remotely while it was open, when using a card's right-click menu, and when the app was suspended in the background on iPhone and iPad. - The app now recovers gracefully instead of crashing if the database can't be opened, and never starts with an empty board over your data. Creating tasks - New: "New Task" in every column's options menu adds a task at the top of the column and puts the cursor straight in the title. - On iPhone and iPad, the Add task box now adds one task per Done: the keyboard dismisses and you're back on the board. - Brand-new tasks open with the title ready to type. Selecting and moving - Drag any card in a multi-selection and the whole selection moves with it, in order. - Mac: Shift-click selects a range of cards; Command-click still toggles individual cards. Icons - Spaces, projects, and columns can now use any SF Symbol. Thousands of icons, browsable by category (Weather, Nature, Home, Commerce and more) with search across the full set. Your existing suggested picks are still one tap away. Sidebar and typography - New sliders in Settings > Typography: Space Size, Project Size, and Project Line Height to tune the sidebar exactly how you like it. - Projects sit further indented under their space. - Mac: sidebar rows now fade at the edges and stop above the Select / Archive / Add footer instead of scrolling underneath it. Select is text-sized and the icons slightly larger. Notes - If a note can't be saved when you close it (sync conflict, note too large), you're no longer stuck. Choose Keep Editing, Close Anyway (a recovery copy is kept), or Discard. - The note editor no longer writes an empty note if encoding fails. Widgets, Watch, Share sheet and Shortcuts - Widgets and the Share extension read the database safely alongside the app and no longer freeze it during launch. - Share sheet keeps multiple attachments and no longer duplicates text on retry. - Shortcuts refuse to create half-built or un-syncable tasks and report why. - The Spotlight index no longer clears itself if indexing is interrupted. Fixes - One Settings item in the Mac app menu (was two). - One Done button when creating a space, project, or column on Mac (was two). - No more brief "Nothing here yet" or "0" flashes while data loads. The Tag editor no longer closes itself on open. - Attachment filenames are sanitized, and oversized attachments are rejected up front so a task never becomes un-syncable.

• Recurring tasks: set any task with a due date to repeat (hourly, daily, weekdays, weekends, weekly, biweekly, monthly, every 3 or 6 months, yearly, or a custom interval). Completing one automatically creates the next occurrence in the same project and column • Alert Until Done: a new option that re-sends a notification every hour after a task is due, until you complete or delete it • Cleaner notifications: alerts now show just the task name with the due time underneath • Keyboard navigation on Mac and iPad: use arrow keys to move between tasks and columns, hold Shift or Option to select multiple tasks, press Return to open a task, and Escape to close it • VoiceOver support across boards, lists, and task details • Task Details is now available from the right-click or long-press menu on any task • Major sync reliability improvements, including a fix for task notes, links, and images not syncing across devices • New sync status in Settings shows your iCloud connection, recent activity, and any problems in plain language • The app now keeps a daily on-device backup of your data as a safety net • Fixed a bug where notes could display as one letter per line • Fixed horizontal scrolling on Mac: the scroll bar is now visible so all columns are always reachable

Select multiple tasks: On Mac, ⌘-click tasks to build a selection, then right-click to act on all of them. On iPhone and iPad, tap the new Select button in the toolbar, then move, complete, tag, or delete several tasks at once. Undo task deletion: Deleted the wrong task? Press ⌘Z on Mac, shake or three-finger swipe on iPhone and iPad, or tap Undo in the new confirmation banner. Tasks come back exactly as they were, tags and all. Task links: Every task now has its own link. Choose "Copy Link" from a task's menu or "Get Task URL" in Task Details, then use it in Shortcuts, notes, or messages to jump straight to that task. More powerful right-click and long-press menus: Set priority, add tags, add or change a cover image, and copy a task's link without opening the task. Add tags in bulk: Apply a tag to every selected task at once, including from the smart list selection bar. Better Shortcuts actions: The Column field now only shows columns from the project you picked, and the new "Open Task After Creating" option opens Kan Do focused on your newly created task. Smoother boards: Cards now gracefully fade out as they scroll toward the top of a column instead of overlapping the column title. Fixes: Link entry in Task Details is now left-aligned with a proper placeholder, and the add-task buttons on Apple Vision Pro stay visible in Light Mode.
