not the original AoE, it’s a pay-to-win MMORPG game, with everything it implies: waiting time for training troops and building/upgrading, paying for a chance to get ahead, dealing with bots asking you to join their discord/other channels. not what I expected, but very nice graphics

Whales game

What is the point to play and spend money on this game if you are playing against alliance of whales with absurd power on a random server? People are leaving the server because they know that they don’t have a chance. Is this made on purpose to leave older servers and join new one and also spend some money there? This game has a great potential but in this state no one will play it. After the server will be empty, the whales will leave also. Perhaps this is the point , to have at least one Kraken on random servers with double power the sum of others players and not the on a dedicated server like 42 or 64 to always start over on a new server.

What is the point to play and spend money on this game if you are playing against alliance of whales with absurd power on a random server? They actually showed potential in the tutorial for what might have been if they did not go for a classic preying on human psychology free to play game. They show a control scheme for units that could work in a mobile AoE RTS if polished. The build system also could work. It would have to be slower paced purely due to the fiddly nature of a touch screen but it might have worked if explored more. They didn’t though so instead we have a free to play dark pattern game. Mmyeah…avoid.Also employing tactics such as fake reviewing to push up their rating.

When I first got into the game I was like ooohh my god, so nice that I have something to play for a long long time and in a chill way, but…then I found out that server will get to an end and there will at the end just a dead empty server unplayable…. It’s sad for me cause I also invested a lot of money cause I wanted to grab heroes and develop my city but now I found out that if I start fresh on a new server, just to run for the endless fun, I cannot get with me all the privileges that I spent real money, so I need to start from scratch.With these being said, I will play until my server dies and will also uninstall the game. It’s just not fair to pay real money and when server dies you can’t get to transfer your city with you on the other server.No hard feelings, game is great with beautiful graphics but hunger for money it’s what ruins it.Bye for now!
