Depression & anxiety tracker

Do you understand why you feel the way you feel? InnerPulse is a mood tracker with built-in clinical questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7). Track your mood every day, see which factors lift or lower it, and keep an eye on your mental health over time. Your data stays on your devices. --- YOUR DATA BELONGS TO YOU No account, no tracking, no ads. App lock protects your entries with Face ID or Touch ID and hides your content in the app switcher too. Optional sync, end-to-end encrypted: when you turn on device sync, InnerPulse encrypts every entry on your device with AES-256 before it goes to your iCloud storage. Your iCloud Keychain carries the key. Neither the developer nor Apple can read the content. Sync is off by default. --- HOW YOU USE INNERPULSE 1. Capture your mood. In the journal, you log your mood on a scale from 1 to 10, write or dictate a few words, and get writing prompts that match your mood and factors. 2. Name your feelings. Pick up to three of 27 feelings in four groups for each entry, from "Calm" to "Overwhelmed". 3. Connect factors. Choose from over 110 factors across 11 areas of life: sleep, nutrition, work, exercise, social life, digital, self-care, health, entertainment, environment, and finances. Add your own factors and categories, with an intensity slider if you like. 4. Customize your entry. Reorder the sections of your entry, hide what you don't need, pin factors, and drag them into order. Shake your iPhone to undo the last action. 5. Connect Apple Health (optional). With your permission, InnerPulse detects matching factors from workouts, sleep, steps, cycle, and water intake: clear matches it sets, unclear ones it suggests. InnerPulse writes your mood and feelings to Apple Health as a State of Mind entry. If you want, the app also suggests sunny and rainy days as factors. 6. Complete clinical questionnaires. In the check-in tab, you answer clinically validated screening instruments: PHQ-9 (depression), GAD-7 (anxiety), K10 (psychological distress), and PHQ-4 (brief screening). You get a score and the severity of your symptoms to take to your next appointment. InnerPulse delivers scores, not diagnoses. 7. Understand your insights. The analysis tab shows you: - which factors go along with your mood, in which direction, and how clearly, - what carries over to the next day, for example after nights with little sleep, - which feelings you name how often, at which mood, and with which factors, - on which weekdays you usually feel better or worse, - how your questionnaire results change over weeks and months, - your whole year as "Year in Pixels", one pixel per day. 8. Make it yours. Choose from four design themes. --- IPHONE, IPAD, AND APPLE WATCH - iPad: in landscape and in the book format of iPhone Duo, every page shows the selection on the left and the detail on the right. - Device sync: entries, questionnaires, and factors stay the same on iPhone and iPad, photos and files up to 25 MB too if you want. - Apple Watch: turn the crown, tap the value, done. The complication shows today's value. - Widgets: Quick log, Week pulse, Year in pixels, and Today's Entry on the home screen, today's entry on the lock screen, with or without your score. With app lock on, Today's Entry hides note and factors. --- PHOTOS, FILES, AND EXPORT Attach photos, PDFs, and other files to entries. InnerPulse removes location data when you add them and does not accept videos. Export your data any time as CSV, as a PDF report for your therapy session, or as a ZIP with a media folder per entry. CSV import brings back data from earlier exports. --- ONE-TIME PURCHASE No subscription, no ads, no selling your data. Shareable via Family Sharing. --- InnerPulse does not replace professional advice or therapy.

InnerPulse thrives on minimalism: you capture your mood in a few moments, without working your way through menus and screens first. That is not going to change. So version 7 brings hardly any new screens. It is an update for how the app feels in use: animations, haptics and many small decisions that barely stand out on their own and together make the app feel more coherent. LOGGING AN ENTRY - The mood slider clicks into place on every value. When you let go, a stronger tap confirms your choice. - Quick picks always offer five open factors. What you pick stays in place, and the next suggestion moves in at the end. - For feelings, three dots show how many you have picked. At the limit, a fourth feeling bounces back so you can feel it. - Tap a writing prompt and it glides straight into the note field. New: “Other prompts” shows more suggestions. - When you save, the editor takes on your mood color, a checkmark draws itself, and the ring of the new row fills up to your score. Every entry gets this confirmation, however your day went. JOURNAL - The chart draws itself when you open it, as a line, columns or ribbon. - After you delete an entry, the list closes the gap smoothly. The first time you delete, InnerPulse shows that shaking your device brings the entry back. - Tap plus shortly after deleting, and InnerPulse offers once to bring the deleted entry back. A restored entry glides back into its old place. QUESTIONNAIRE - A ring at the top right shows which question you are on. Swipe back and forth between questions. - After your last answer, a short thank-you appears, then your result with the trend of your recent results. InnerPulse acknowledges that you filled it in, never the score. The result stays a screening, not a diagnosis. ANALYSIS - The “Factors” tile opens with your first insight. A dot on the tab and on the tile shows where something new is waiting. - Numbers count up, impact bars grow, and the curve reshapes when you switch the time range. - “Year in pixels” fills up day by day. If you have an entry today, today’s pixel settles in last. MILESTONES AND SHARING - At 30, 100 and 365 recorded days, InnerPulse shows a milestone. It counts days with an entry, not a streak: gaps never count against you. - Share milestones, your “Year in pixels” and insights as an image. InnerPulse creates a separate card for this, without notes, factors, feelings or the data of single days. You choose with switches what it shows. - Take a screenshot of one of these, and InnerPulse offers to turn it into a shareable image. APP LOCK - A new lock screen in the look of your theme. While the app is locked, nothing of your entries shows through. After unlocking, a mosaic reveals the app. MORE RELIABLE - Insights are stricter: InnerPulse compares days instead of single entries and only reports a connection once it stands clearly apart from chance. Across 1,000 test datasets with no connection at all, the share of false insights dropped from 100% to at most 5%. Instead of a percentage, you now see the strength of evidence: high, medium or low. - When you travel, every entry counts toward the day you logged it, even after a time zone change. - Entries you delete while device sync is paused no longer come back when you turn it on again. - Choose the unzipped export folder when importing, and InnerPulse restores your photos too. - “Delete All Data” now also resets learned suggestions and your changes to factors. - VoiceOver describes your charts as Audio Graphs. On iPad with a keyboard: ⌘N for a new entry, ⌘F to search. FOR EVERYONE - Every animation follows the “Reduce Motion” setting: you then see the result right away or a simple cross-fade. - Longer animations play once per session, so they never hold you up the tenth time you open the app.
