Overview
- AuthCode is a privacy-focused, local two-factor authenticator for iOS and iPadOS, with a companion Apple Watch app.
- All account secrets are stored only in the device Keychain; no sensitive data is collected or uploaded.
- The macOS version is not yet available.

- Locally generates Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) codes; supports 6- or 8-digit codes, configurable time step, and SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512 algorithms.
- Add accounts via QR scanning or by recognizing QR codes from photos.
- Compatible with Google Authenticator migration QR codes; import multiple accounts at once.
- Optional iCloud Keychain sync for enhanced security.
- Face ID unlocking to protect app content.
- View codes and remaining time progress on Apple Watch.
- Search, edit, delete accounts, and copy codes with one tap.
- Automatically detects issuer logos or generates color avatars for clearer identification.
- Dark Mode and iPad-optimized layout.
Data & Privacy
- Secrets are stored only in the system Keychain.
- No upload, sharing, or recording of sensitive data.
- Secrets and codes are never output in logs.
Import & Backup
- Export accounts as a JSON file for local backup.
- Batch import from JSON files.
Devices & Permissions
- Optimized for iPhone and iPad; includes an Apple Watch version.
- Camera and photo library permissions are used solely for QR scanning and recognition.
- Face ID is used only for unlocking and protecting app content.
