I gave you 4 stars because I don’t play games at all except this one and have been playing Word Connect for what feels like forever. As I’m clearly addicted, I feel it would be unfair to give it less than 4. However, you guys drive me crazy. It’s not the gameplay; which is seamless on my iPhone. It’s not the repetition; which is annoying but I play so much it has to be expected. It’s not that, for the most part, it’s not challenging; you have to appeal to a wide range of players, not just English majors. Here’s the thing: It’s the inanely frustrating refusal to allow normal, everyday words to be accepted! I know you know this as it’s too obvious and others must have complained. It almost ruins the game for me. I sit down to relax and play, try to make the word FIG, have it rejected, curse at my phone, and know it’s going to be one of those days. Then, one game out of 20 or so, FIG “is” a valid word - meaning I have to try it the other 19 failed times. I hate this! RIG is a word, FIG isn’t (except when it is). TIN is a word, GIN isn’t (except when it is). CUE is a word, HUE isn’t - most of the time. EGAD is sometimes a word; sometimes not. There are scores and scores of everyday words that this annoyance pertains to. Not “sensitive” words, not proper names, just English words. It wouldn’t cost you a hair off your heads or one dollar to change this. I don’t say “fix” this because I’m sure it’s intentional for some bizarre reason. But make your good game an even better one by applying consistency.
