I love the app but the main gripe I have is that it doesn’t actually respect our age preferences. I’ll put my age preference between 25-30 but I’ll get people that are 40-60+ hitting me up because of their age preferences. Just because I’m within their preferences doesn’t mean they’re within mine, so they shouldn’t even be seeing me to begin with. The preferences need to be a two way street. If I mine set to “interested in ages between 25-30” that should be all I get on my feed. I shouldn’t be getting anyone outside of that range just because I fall within their’s. I’m 28, I don’t want to meet up with some 50year old person or someone old enough to be my parent. The only reason I should show up on their feed is if I include them within my preferences, not because I’m within theirs. If I happened to put “interested in ages between 25-60” while the other has “interested in “25-60” sure, I get it, let me show up on their feed. But when I ONLY want people to be within the certain age range, there’s no reason someone outside of my preferred age range should be seeing me. Also the other gripe I have with the app is that it looks like it got rid of the “looking for hookups” option (maybe it was a one night stand option). Now it’s only “long term” or “short term” relationships. Would def like the other option back because I’m not even looking for anyone to date so short term doesn’t work for me.

So I had the app for a few days now and at first I got so many messages out the gate. Started to notice it was only older and middle aged straight men. Which is not a huge problem however, I’m 26 and queer. Saw a few females around my age that were bi or lesbians, few young guys around my age or younger but I hardly got any queer matches, variety of people, or anyone that was close to my area. A few were but not many. It’s just a bunch of random older straight or “straight” men messages with the same message responses felt very bot even though I know they are quick responses. It just got annoying reading the same messages over and over again. I even changed “opened to everyone” to “women” and I saw women in the swipe section but hardly got any women or queer matches. It’s hard to find someone that has your preference or interests because it doesn’t tell you. The top picks are a waste because you have to pay to see them. You only have 24 hrs to respond and it disappears but I end up clearing all the messages out because no one is my vibe. I’m also not paying to talk to people. You can only skip but so many times so I would leave the app and come back later. Half the people in the app seemed fake anyways so the app became very boring fast and I was really excited to try this one out too. I just felt it lacked variety and doesn’t allow you to find potential matches without having to swipe forever to find them.

This app started out alright, and then gradually got worse over time to the point where now it’s completely irredeemable. BEWARE. If you’re male and you post anything even SLIGHTLY eluding to the idea that you may be “looking for fun” or anything bordering the edge of any kind of intimacy, the moderators will censor your post in 1.5 seconds flat with no explanation as to what you did wrong. If you post ANYTHING even REMOTELY critical of the app, leftist views, or anything that may be held in some kind of regards to whatever faceless potato is moderating the content, you will be censored. It seems everyone has the ability to erase messages for both themselves and you, but as far as I know, if you have your profile settings set to “straight” and “male”, you do not have the option to erase messages for the other person. Are the creators of the app saying that in the case of a potential crime, ONLY straight males should have digital evidence provided against them in court? Bottom line, this app openly discriminates against people who do not identify themselves as either a woman or LGBTQ+. This app is the bottom of the barrel as far as dating apps go, and an excellent example of why each and every day, Big Tech is consistently proving more and more why they cannot be trusted by the consumers.

To start, I’ll name the positives. I like that the app has screenshot protection. That’s about all I have to say in that regard. Unfortunately, in every other aspect, it falls short. I use the free version, so I know that I am going to off of limited features, however, out of every app I’ve ever used this one seems to have the most paywalls. The app is basically unusable, unlike other free versions of dating apps. Being a woman who’s seeking women, options are already limited, so I was hoping this app would open the door to meeting my kind of people, but it seems to be over run by straight dudes and I get bombarded with creepy messages all day. I understand wanting to be inclusive but this app really doesn’t cater to the lgbt community at all. At the very least you should atleast be able to set age preferences because there’s no reason a late twenty something like me should be seeing 18 year olds or 65 year olds, and heaven forbid they’re letting 65 year olds have access to 18 year olds. You should also be allowed to choose not to see men if you aren’t looking for one. Again, not helping the lgbt community by only catering to the straight men who have over run the app to harass queer women. I understand the app needs to make money somehow but I’m not paying those ridiculous prices to tell an lgbt app not to force me to interact with only men. Rant over, hopefully you guys work on these issues and maybe I’ll consider coming back.
