I downloaded this app because it was recommended to me by a family member a few weeks ago at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine period. I knew I would have a ton of free time to use up so I figured why not. The first night we played we got a bunch of our family members in and had a blast. Every once in a while a random person would come in the room and we would laugh while pretending to not all know each other and use fake accents and made up personas. We’ve encountered some cool people, some funny, some weird and tons of ceilings. Seriously, if you need any ideas on ceiling textures, colors or light fixtures just get into a few games with strangers and you will have a complete look book within 30 minutes. I k own it’s called Pokerface but people love to play with their cameras pointing to the ceiling lol. Anyway, we are not 3.5 weeks into quarantine and we still sign in every night to have our “get together” and play games with each other since we are unable to see each other in person. The only bummer is that we can only fit 5 in a room and we have about 12 family members on the app right now so we need to camme numerous rooms and then jump around to all get to play each other (Please make the table capacity larger!). This has been such a blessing in this time because it has given us the tiniest sense of normalcy being able to see each other and just have a good time even though we are stuck inside. Right now we need all the joy and laughter we can get and I must say that this app has given us a little bit of that every night when we sign on. Thanks Pokerface!
Good for the Most Part

I just started playing poker so my husband recommended this app to me. I like it for the most part. It’s realistic and the hands dealt seem pretty fair to me. I would love if a few things could be changed, however. The spin wheel seems rigged. You shouldn’t only get A LOT of money to play with when you are contributing your own money to the app. My husband can only play at higher stake tables because of how long he’s been playing and yet can’t ever get enough money to play at those because the wheel keeps giving him low amounts. Also, the bonuses aren’t consistent. He gets the “show your face” present bonus pop up so much more than I do. There should be multiple ways or mini games/challenges to be able to get chips other than paying out of your own pocket. I would love if there was an easier way to play with your friends at a regular table too, not just one-on-one. I try to invite him when a spot opens at my table but he’s met with a message saying he doesn’t have enough chips or it’s a full table even when it’s not. I will agree with others with the whole connection thing. You are supposed to get rewarded for showing your face so I’m assuming they are encouraging social interaction but the ability to do so is hard because you have to have a perfect internet connection to do so. I keep my mic off most of the time because of all the feedback and obnoxiousness that I can hear with that. I also think you should be able to turn your video off for a 5 minute period for the times that you need to do something and don’t want everybody to see while you are doing it.

I started playing Pokerface thanks to my brother. He sent me the link around the same time everyone started the coronavirus quarantine. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I sort of imagined it to be like other poker games. I didn’t fully get into it until about a week of playing when I realized I wasn’t gonna be going back to work anytime soon. I wasn’t going out to do anything fun such as: the bar or the club everything is closed, I didn’t have a social life anymore. This was dark and scary times for everyone. I don’t like to follow and believe the news station because it always causes anxiety. So pokerface truly changed my life by introducing the new times where social media is now awesome I have never been a social media type of person, but in these scary times I’m all alone, my girlfriend died from suspected to be corona virus complications while we had broken up and she moved to another state. I was hoping to fix things but I hadn’t talk to her in a few weeks because she was in a coma and I wasn’t aware and her family didn’t tell me anything. So I started fake gambling when and meeting cool people online where I learned to laugh again. Also, instead of watching the news I’m talking to people from all over the place. In two months of playing and meeting people I have gotten new from every state including some places in Canada and Europe. This games has changed my life. Like a wise man once said... ”War has changed“ solid snake. Games have changed Wladimir. I am a new person I stoped gambling so I can play pokerface instead. It’s okCool! This is an add on comment! I wonder if you will receive the changes 🤔 I have changed my rating to ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because of the kind and quick response. I only rated because it was bugging me to do so. The response gave me a chance to see others reviews in trying to find my own (which was not easy but not your problem apple should fix that), and I’ve played the game a few more times since posting “Ok, its ok”. I will say I often don’t show my face, because I am a female, but I love the ability to see, and be seen. I agree with another reviewer, we should be forced to show our face occasionally if we have our camera active. I like the fact I can shut those off so if you don’t want to show your face shut it off. I often shut the mic off, and love that it shows that. As for the cam, I would rather see the top of your head rather than your house plant. I get it I don’t keep my face in it, so I get it. I will say I would love to see more females. I would probably show face more if I were not the only female at the table. Hopefully my rating will remain the same. I will make sure to check and see if we have a quick way to report images that should not be tolerated. As long as that’s in place I see no reason not to give you the 5 stars you so kindly asked for ♥️
