Has some good qualities….

I switched from using Coinbase to Binance a few weeks ago, mostly due to the fact that Binance has significantly lower transaction fees than Coinbase. I also just like their crypto offering more. Unfortunately, an incident came up where I had to reset my phone and lost access to my 2FA keys, which were held on my Authenticator app to give me access to my Binance account. For most companies losing a 2FA key is not a huge problem since you can normally regain access through your email and other forms of verification. With Binance, however, it was a huge headache to regain account access. I waited 2 weeks to just get a response from their support team, during which time I had money in a very volatile market that can fall or climb thousands of dollars within hours. I understand the risks of trading crypto, and not having access to your account for half a month is not one of the risks that should be on my list. Absolutely unacceptable.

I have now learned that Binance is starting to invest in its customer support division more, so hopefully things will begin to improve. Will I still use Binance? Yes, but lesson learned. I will just have to do everything in my power to avoid their customer support team.

You WILL lose money unless you use regular Binance

There’s basically no trading volume on Binance US. They also shut of trading for hours during crashes with no text or alert so you can’t sell. The trading volume is so low, sometimes I have to buy $200 above market value and sell $200 below in order to get very small orders filled. Then when you address the issues asking for it to be fixed, they get attitude with you and block you. If you can’t find a way to use the original Binance, move exchanges. Until we refuse to use Binance US, these problems will persist. Oh also there’s hardly any market on the US version. They also report everything to the IRS, so even if you lose, you will have to spend days or pay hundreds to file each trade with the IRS which is sometimes 1000s. Binance US should be banned from the US. Since I was made to switch to to here by the idiots, all they’ve done is made me lose money. Use any exchange besides Binance US


Update: I just had my limit orders for a bitcoin each skipped over 4 times. 1 2 3 4 TIMES! There wasn’t enough volume to fill my trades so Binance decided to just skip them, and then they have the nerve to ask for trading fees still when I had to buy $1500 higher than market value losing money and bitcoin. WARNING: NOTHING HAS CHANGED AND THEY DON’T ANSWER SUPPORT TICKETS. MY FRIEND HAS HAD $140,000 OF FUNDS FROZEN ON HERE AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER HIS SUPPORT TICKET EITHER. THEY ARE THIEVES AND WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.

Almost Non existent customer service. Update

turns out I was mislead by someone else that I could use this but my state isn’t but the one star comes from not being able to delete my account what gives (Update) customer service is not very helpful rather than help me to terminate my account I got one email about terms of service dodging my request all together then sent me an email asking me how well they handled my problem. (Update part1) i was once again emailed the exact same automated response as the first time. This is a service that does not seem to care about it’s users so if you don’t know what your doing or you’re having any trouble Binance will not help you. (Final update) after spending almost a month trying to get help with issue I actually got a live text chat with customer service who was able to have a conversation with me rather than have several different people email me back at sporadic intervals. This agent was very helpful. That being said the overall customer service is still mostly garbage especially when considering that when using this time is money and the only one getting screw is use the user.
