Highly recommend this app for both newly diagnosed diabetics and those who need to redirect their food choices, like me. This app helps eliminate the meal planning guesswork because it is very difficult to figure out how start to come up Auth a good meal plan and choosing the right foods. It is also a great source of information on the how's and why's of diabetes and I definitely recommend reading this app front to back.

I’m guessing all the items and features listed in App Store description such A1C, blood pressure, glucose and other customization only work if you allow app to link with Apple Health. Otherwise you get the *bare minimum* even with a subscription. I am newly diagnosed and was really hoping for guidance on meals and planning at least until my diabetes educator apppintment. This isn’t it. The recipes are good but I can only filter by meal time with no other options for generating my own meal plan. Food tracker is very basic with few common foods in the database; most available selections are inaccurate so calories, carbs, etc need to be manually corrected. There is no summary of previous days, only individual meal entries that you have to scroll through. I don’t understand why some of the other reviews mention helpful info because I can’t seem to find any info on any topic.

Me and my wife have different requirements and use separate meal apps. Which means we both cook different meals at the same time. I’m not a cook so this is new. This app has very easy to follow meal plans and I have had no problems except when I was supposed to make crepes. But I think that was user error. The one problem with the app is and my wife does not is adding things. I just found a recipe in tips and could not find it to make substitution on my meal plan. Also we do still eat out and although I can add what I eat it does not add it to my daily total as far as I know. If I’m missing something- please someone let me know. Thanksps. All the food has been great tasting!
how to use this app

New to the app. So far have not found it super friendly for searching a recipe or repeating an item I have previously added. It’s ok for counting carbs and it does have some interesting recipes. I have not found any way to edit something I entered by mistake. I hope I’m totally wrong and just need to find what I’m missing. I really want it to work better. I had to pay for the full year before I found it could be month to month.
