I’m only putting 5 stars so that this’ll be at the top and people can see this. Out of all of the apps I finally decided to pay for it’s subscription and the one I chose happened to be one this one unfortunately, out of all of the matches I only got 1 response and was online and the rest were never online meaning they were probably filler accounts/bots. I bought the premium because it kept saying that someone liked me and there would be captions on their profiles saying “she chose you over 15 other guys” but when I would switch sections that number would change meaning it was just a fake automated message by Duet trying to pressure you into buying their subscription by making you think that someone’s interested but then you find out it’s a filler account. Another thing to mention is that after I canceled my membership it was constantly bugging me to verify my picture or saying it wasn’t clear enough when clearly it was clear enough, I even zoomed in on it and changed photos but it kept telling me there was something wrong with it but there wasn’t at all. So unless if they do a lot of improvement on this app I would highly recommend not buying their subscriptions until they fix it and to be honest I wouldn’t even waste your time trying to use it for free because it’s basically impossible to find someone on here.

I have been trying to permanently delete my duet account for the past hour, and I am very frustrated. Why is it so difficult to get rid of my account, other dating apps it’s not like this. I delete my account and it’s gone forever and i could make a whole new profile if i do decide to try that app again, unlike Duet. I delete it through the app under account settings and follow the prompts thinking my account is gone, but when I log back in to see if it is truly deleted and gone it just says that my account was inactivated and my profile and data is still there. When I go to delete my account it does say that all my info will be gone and irretrievable and my profile information will be gone. BUT ITS NOT GONE ITS STILL THERE. Your app is giving very false information and that doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t want my profile still up if I’m not using the app and other people seeing my profile. I would like to please permanently delete my account like I want nothing left behind, I don’t want an inactive account, I want my profile DELETED AND GONE FOREVER. GET RID OF MY PROFILE because I clearly cannot do it myself.

In complete and total honesty, I’ve been looking for an app to replace Tinder. However, Duet does hold matches from you in an attempt to make you buy their premium feature. The problem with that is it discourages new people from staying and it means that buying the premium is worth it because there’s only few people. My honest advice is to just wait until the app developers realize that is actually making people leave and reverse it. Other than the app holding matches from you in an attempt to get you to buy premium, the app’s usability is decent. It’s not as streamlined as Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble, so people are forced to take a good minute to actually put effort into their profile. Making profiles more mandatory to get verified is a very good policy to have as it’ll stop bots and fakes from getting on the app. The profiles themselves were good, people do take time to build it up, and put their information. Even the ones with no bio, there’s still plenty of info for them to share. Price of Premium is another problem. With the app not having many people, i wouldn’t pay $24 a month. If it were up to me, premium would be $10 a month, in attempt to keep what community i have, and encourage building up because i know a majority of people want a replacement for Tinder. In conclusion I do not recommend Duet as it’s a ghost town, and it’ll stay a ghost town. However if premium is reversed you make see people flock in.

I live in a terrible, terrible area for online dating. Poor luck dating as a man is inevitable here. I an aware of this fact - HOWEVER, it does NOT excuse how dating apps prey on their users. I paid REAL money to find out when I receive likes because I don’t have the time to wait for my 20 swipes to come back. It’s hard enough.. that said, I paid the money, suddenly stopped getting likes, and to my dismay, I will somehow magically get new “matches” immediately after swiping on some profiles… you’re telling me that me and this person swiped on each-other.. just now? Or are you robbing me blind just like Tinder does and withholding the data i’m paying for? Some of us use these platforms because we struggle to find people nearby- and yet, the app fails consistently to show matches that are ACTUALLY nearby. Why am I getting shown people from 80 miles away when my dating range is 3 miles? 20 miles, even? And don’t even get me started on the people I actually match with. The bots accounts… the people who never respond.. the people who ghost others.. the people who leave matches up like trophies or something? I’m so irritated by online dating based on experience already, and the apps have only created MORE problems that would exist regardless of my location on the map. This app doesn’t deserve anything more than a single star for not supplying what it promises and for being another useless moneygrab like Tinder.
