Didn’t know what to expect here. But SNK poured a lot of money into the production of these beloved characters and the cutscenes I see in my first couple hours of gameplay. I thought it was just gonna be the trailer, but there’s like, these crazy transitions between stages. I’m excited to see what’s next here; because for there to be a multiplayer, and a leveling system. That’s just really cool. The notes to the developers of my first impressions: this English dub is crazy bad lol. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but the voice actors in the studio just. Sound so off with how these characters are. For the longest time I wondered what these characters would sound like, and I more imagined the voices of the English dub of Cowboy Bebop as how some of them would talk. This is a superficial gripe, but one that I can’t ignore lol. I have it set to Japanese voice, thankfully. The title start video does not have subtitles to the Japanese voice, I don’t know if any more of the pre rendered cutscenes will do this. So I know it just launched, I got an iPhone 12 Pro Max, (not the youngest phone but pretty good) it’s a little choppy in a few of the cutscenes, and the loading screens are lagging, the game play however, is insanely smooth and very nice before ultra settings the cutscenes and transitions just need to be optimized. I would like smaller button options, I feel like theres so much to see in the screen, my thumbs get in the way of where enemies are and stuff is as I drag them across the screen to aim. This would be more fun on my computer with a gamepad, or with a backbone to my phone, obviously But for those who just wanna pick it from the pocket, that’d be a nice thing to give us. I’ll send another update when I hit about 8 hours gameplay and know the game, but I had to write this first impression because I am pretty stoked to begin this one. The last time I felt this stoked was with Metal Slug Defense and attack (RIP)Edit: I just found out; no controller support for mobile.Means no backbone, or controller on IPAD for my mobile playing lolBummer

Just want to say first off I’m free to play and I’m a huge fan of the classic Metal Slug games. I’ve been playing this game for months, almost a year, and all the time I spent building up my guns just went straight in the trash thanks to the new update. Overall it’s still a very decent game to play especially if you like the classic ones. But all the time I spent collecting certain cores and building certain stats all went out the window. I stopped playing this game for a while because it got a bit boring but I started coming back not long ago. Today I login to the game and saw that the new update offered to upgrade my guns! Boy that was great surprise right? Well up until the game replaced all my gun cores/stats with what it thought was better. Now I don’t do as much damage, it still does an F ton of damage but it would do waay more if it had kept the stats that I collected and built up from the cores I spent time and resources obtaining. If I had known it would do that I never would’ve upgraded my guns. I’m free to play, so when I say I spent a lot of time doing all that, believe you me it was a ton of time. Maybe I’ll play again someday but right now I’m deleting this game.

I really liked the game. In fact, I liked it so much I dropped about $2k on the game. I spent the money on the guaranteed weapon event. Now, I fully understand that when you perform 300 weapon digs, you can get a guaranteed weapon. This is a different event. However, on the special weapon event, it states that when you do 90 weapon digs, you get the guaranteed weapon that you selected. It worked a few times, but about 7 other times it gave me something entirely different. I have the dig record to prove that I didn’t get it and despite letting customer service know, they just avoided to help me and told me I had to do 300 digs to get the weapon I wanted, which I repeat is a different event. They have decided to ignore the ticket and haven’t responded. I was ready to drop another $500, but with this experience, I will definitely not be spending any money anymore. This goes to show that they don’t even like the players that spend money on their game and they aren’t willing to correct their mistakes. This is the most genuine representation of shady business practices. GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR!!! I have proof of the redirection and lack of willingness to correct the situation.
