First off this is a great game. This game is everything that whiteout survival should’ve been. If you like survival games where you gather resources and build, you will probably like this game, if you don’t minds ads that is. And that’s the problem; you have to watch ads every 2-3 minutes to get the 3x damage multiplier for your axe. Now this would be fine, but the base damage is absolutely ridiculous. You need to use your axe to gather resources to progress in the game, and without the multiplier the game is painfully slow — to the point where it is practically unplayable. It’s $10 to remove ads, but even after removing ads, you STILL have to pay ANOTHER $9 to get the permanent damage multiplier! I hate these kinds of deceptive business practices, and even though I like the game, I have to say something about it. No ads should mean NO ADS. I’m not paying $10 to remove ads, just to have to pay ANOTHER $9 if I want to properly enjoy the game! I would happily pay $9-$10 to support the devs, IF the damage multiplier was included in the no ads package — but there’s no way I’m spending almost $20 just to properly enjoy a mobile game, that’s ridiculous. I could buy a barely used PS5 game for that price! Either up the base damage or include the 3x multiplier in the No ads package. Having to pay for both is absurd.

That’s pretty much it. This game is awesome. Story, survival, resource gathering, crafting- it definitely scratches the itch. The cherry on top is the low stress, easy gameplay that gives a cozy feeling when playing. I came to review to say thanks to the devs for making a game that I am really excited to play. My one grief is now that I’ve progressed far enough the wait times have changed from 1-5 minutes to 1-5 hours. I’ve already cleared all available resources and now I’m signing in just to start the clock on a task before turning the game off. There’s nothing left for me to do except wait. I cannot progress at the speed I would like to. I wanted to buy the game both to support the devs and remove forced ads, but I hesitate because I doubt it will reduce wait times for task completion. So I’m left with limited options: waiting over and over for long wait times, spending my money on in-game currency to skip time, or watching numerous ads to skip time. I know and respect that devs gotta make their living, but sadly I find this practice ruins an otherwise amazing gaming experience. That’s all. I hope players continue to try the game because it’s really fun. And I wish the devs much success.

Initially, this was a visually wonderful game with simple controls and clear objectives. Then the ads start automatically what seemed like every 3 minutes. That got old really fast. Even if you pay the $9 to remove “all ads forever”, the mechanics of the game force you to watch ads to complete objectives in a timely manner. This game was advertised as an “offline” game, but when you design the mechanics to force players to watch ads to earn rewards needed for upgrades, it ends up simply being false advertising. The game would’ve been fantastic if “no ads forever” really meant it, especially since the game already has you collecting in-game money to use for trading and crafting. All they had to do was either include more of those resources to pay the exorbitant prices at the trader/crafter, or lower the trading/crafting cost to balance the gameplay. The waiting periods for crafting items is also purposely unreasonably long by design to force you to watch…you guessed it: more ads! Those wait times would be much more justifiable if the game had more to do while waiting, but it just doesn’t. Nothing about this game works when you play offline because ads are the only way to actually progress unless you’d prefer to wait 8+ hours for an item to be crafted…If I could get my $9 back, I would. But I can’t get the time back, so I’ll be deleting this game (or more accurately: this ad machine). Don’t bother wasting your time or money.

This could be literally such an amazing game it has so much potential but they stretch out the wait time for literally everything every step of the game you have to craft somthing that takes over 40 minutes and you gotta watch a couple adds to skip it. It’s just annoying that I’m watching adds and waiting more then I’m actually playing the game. I just wish they made the crafting times a lot quicker it would bring up my rating by one star another thing I think the the scarcity of resources you have a limited amount and have to wait till you open another section to get more there should be a way to automatically generate materials or a place you can travel to get the specific resource you need. Other than that I think this game has insane potential if they listen and change some things around cause I love everything else about it.
