Also new: - PDF and EPUB exports now work for books in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian and every accented alphabet, from Polish to Vietnamese. Right-to-left books read right to left, and files are named after your book. - Rename front and back matter (Preface, Dedication and the rest): press and hold, then Rename. - My Books reopens a book where you left off, and reads Arabic and Hebrew right to left. - Cloud Sync starts the moment you subscribe. - A gentle reminder, now and then, when a book only lives on this device. - Backup files now include your storyboard, notes, cover and figures. - The free storyboard has the same limits in every format: 5 characters and 5 plot arcs per book (up from 3), and 10 entries in each of the other tabs. Everything you've already added stays. - Authora asks for speech recognition the first time you tap the mic, not when you open a chapter, and says why if dictation stops. - Sharing and Save to Files work on iPad and Mac. - The Dark theme setting is remembered. - Fixes to the User Guide.

Bug fixes Exporting a book as PDF could fail on very long paragraphs or tall pictures. That is fixed, and if an export ever does fail you will now see a message instead of nothing happening.

Performance improvements Typing in long chapters is smoother. The app was doing unnecessary work on every keystroke, which could make the editor lag or freeze on very long chapters. That work now happens once you pause typing.

Stability improvements Fixed a freeze when sharing a chapter or exporting a book as a PDF. Long documents could lock up the app for several seconds while the file was created, and on some Android devices the system would close the app. PDF creation now runs in the background and the app stays responsive.

Non-fiction storyboard fix Non-fiction projects were showing the fiction planning tools (Characters, Plot, World) instead of their own storyboard. Non-fiction projects now open the correct board: Arguments, References and Research. Nothing you wrote is lost. Notes from the World tab now appear under Research, and if you added characters or plot arcs to a non-fiction project, those tabs remain visible so your work stays exactly where you left it.

Cloud sync reliability Projects could be removed from cloud backup if a sync was interrupted part way through. This was most likely when setting up Authora on a new device, where your whole library depends on that first sync completing. Your work now stays put even if the connection drops mid-sync. Also includes editor and platform compatibility updates.
