I have been using Linearity Curve (previously Vectornator) for 3 years for my own personal design projects. It is a great piece of software with amazing functionality that far exceeds what I would ever need in such a tool. For comparison, previously I used to rely on Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. Linearity Curve was easy to learn even for someone like me who is not a professional graphic designer, and the user interface was very intuitive, both on the iPad and on the Mac. Apart from the great software, I had an amazing experience with their customer support recently who helped me solve an issue I was facing although I am free-tier user. They went beyond what many other software companies would do. To me, this is a hallmark of a world class company that cares about their users and customers.

Improving my skills

As a self taught illustrator that only works on the iPad, vectors were a daunting step but Linearity, made it much easier. The interface is pretty intuitive and there are also in app tutorials to develop skills further. I tried adobe illustrator for the iPad and I couldn’t get my head around it, so this app was a lifesaver.

Impressive with some minor flaws

I’m really impressed this app has a real potential to be the go to vector app, with some small tweaks (like exporting eps and ai directly) it can be even better. Also I’m facing a small problem where the app crashes while I’m working on it.
Linearity Curve 6.11 brings the new Noise Effect, improved SVG import and export, and smoother canvas performance.
NOISE EFFECT
You can now add noise directly from the Style Inspector to bring more texture and depth to your vector work. Choose between Mono, Duo, and Multi modes to control how subtle or expressive the texture feels.
SVG IMPROVEMENTS
We improved SVG import and export for more accurate results and cleaner editing. Gradients are now supported more reliably, imported layers are named more clearly, and text handling has been improved for better font rendering, spacing, and structure.
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
This release includes canvas rendering improvements that make editing feel smoother and more responsive. We also improved rendering speed and reliability across common editing workflows, so working in larger or more complex documents feels more stable.
