“This app is home to the best journalism in the world. If I could only afford to pay for one news source, The Economist would be that source.”
“Great app, excellent journalism! The Economist is wonderful. The content is interesting and relevant and the reporting is superlative. Equally impressive is the drive to stay relevant by presenting media in multiple formats, from print to podcasts and short videos.”
“Impeccable journalism with an app to match. The Economist doesn’t need my endorsement of the quality of their journalism. It speaks for itself. Rather, I’ll comment that their app is well-designed and refreshing to use…I love being able to easily download entire editions, listen to articles with real narrators and search for past articles.”

I love the breadth and depth of the articles, covering all relevant topics for anyone who wants to be up to date on the word arena nowadays. Also, I appreciate a lot the fact that the articles’ reasoning is mainly driven by arguments, data and facts from different researchers and sources rather than the authors’ opinions or biases. This helps me draw my own conclusions and stokes my curiosity to keep studying further. My favorite sections are businesses, finance and the world today. I liked a lot the insights from the columns Schumpeter, Free Exchange and Buttonwood. As an improvement point, I enjoy a lot the section about schools of economics, with articles on economics’ theory and I noticed that the magazine stopped publishing them. Consider publishing more often these articles.CheersMarcio
No look up for words

They took away the look up choice of words More over it is not searchable Otherwise it is better somehow
Old app so much better
Toby2019
When you dropped the old style paragraph layout in favour of the new webpage style layout, you lost the status as the best magazine app out there (and lost me as a subscriber). I occasionally buy the print edition which still feels like a magazine, but have otherwise quit the Economist because of the poor app experience (which is a shame because content is good). Bring back the old style app. You had the best app in the world and decided to retire it…!!??Please bring back the old style layout and you will win back a subscriber.
Fair reporting
hattuma
Having read and listened to many Economist articles and reports, I have come to the conclusion that you are no different from other mainstream media with all their prejudices and biases. Yes, I will continue to read your articles but I will also continue to question your fairness in reporting till I’ve had enough.
We've made general improvements and fixed bugs for a smoother experience.
