Loosing the essence of Airbnb

The whole purpose of Airbnb is to have a home away from home but it’s loosing its essence as now big companies are taking over it especially I felt this in my recent trip to Budapest. They present it as a home but it’s just their business, they have several apartments, rooms and showcasing as if they live their or it’s just their apartment. But because of this the real people for whom Airbnb was made is lost. Especially in Budapest I didn’t like my stay. There was no personal touch to it. I would have rather booked in a hotel. And one more thing in Airbnb bnb means bed and breakfast there was no provision of breakfast in any of my stay in Budapest.My stay in Prague was much better. Though it’s also commercial but there were a lot of personal touches to it which made my stay their happy.

I have used air bnb couple of times now, and it has been a not what I expected from a booking app. Firstly when I paid for the booking and got a confirmation e-mail it didn't even have an exact number of the house, instead, just generally the name of the street. My booking confirmation didn't have any contact details which became a big problem ones I landed in Tbilisi without internet I could not use the app for anything - not calling and nor texting. I wasted one hour trying to get wifi or any connection in cold March temperatures trying to find wifi since in the booking confirmation doesn't have the phone number of the hosts neither the exact address. Which at that time I thought it would have been common sense to give all possible information as address and telephone number. Secondly, when I finally found a way to connect and wrote for support, well there is time difference with Australian based staff, and nobody is there to help. When the Airbnb agent saw my message the response was directing the issue more to the air bnb host rather then the Airbnb app, which I find unacceptable. Host had nothing to do with the fact that air bnb doesn't confirm the locations of the actual addresses and does not collect this information for the comfort of the travelers. I will not go back to this app in the future - it kind of is ruining my holiday with such easy to fix issues. And I am really appalled at the fact that instead of fixing the issue they basically direct all issues to the host and not taking responsibility for their own services.
Airbnb never like before

I have been using Airbnb since 2016 it was better then now. We have been traveling for a month we have been into almost 4 places, the company doesn’t make sure and not strict with the host as the place is not clean 3 places we went too cockroaches where there and the places are not clean, you pay thousands of dollars to get clean and good places to stay but you end up sending evidence and pictures and fighting Airbnb and the host, Nowadays even the check in in most of listed places is too late after 5 pm some of them even after 6 and 7 pm and the check out is 10 am and 11 am that’s so bad. Also, they charge $200 and more but you find the blankets and bedding, the floors, the place not clean hair everywhere and floors is sticky. Also, some places we have rented without lights! and without water heaters we wasn’t able to take a shower on freezing water! Also, some places the fire cooker is not working we ended up eating outside and throwing our groceries. Where is the right of the guest we pay money to travel and have fun but Airbnb ruins everything. The worst experience I have had in my entire life with my family. After paying hundreds and thousands of dollars when you complain Airbnb with give you $100 voucher to use it at Airbnb and your money is gone in trashy places and bad experiences. Host is careless you call them to fix main issues in their place they say will send someone and nobody shows up. I don’t know how Airbnb charges the services fees but you get No services and no right to refund your money you waste hours and hours of your vacation and travel to complain on issues the dose not end up.
