I bought a single one-time course on their website, and months later they automatically charged my bank card a massive renewal fee without my knowledge or consent. This subscription doesn't even show up under Apple ID subscriptions because they bypass it on their website to trap your card details on their backend. When I demanded a refund, customer service just played games and tried to offer me useless digital gifts instead of returning my money. Beware of this app, they will take money from your account without explicit permission!
This is a lot to sit with, and a renewal charge you didn't expect — especially months later — deserves a real explanation. To clarify how this works: purchases made directly on the Coursiv website go through standard web payment processing rather than Apple's in-app subscription system, which is why it wouldn't appear under your Apple ID — that's a structural difference in how web purchases work generally, not something specific to bypass anything. That said, the terms of renewal should always be clear at the point of purchase, and if that wasn't the case for you, that's a legitimate problem. On the refund experience — if you felt brushed off rather than helped, that's not how this should go.Please reach out again to wecare@coursiv.io and mention you left an App Store review, ideally referencing your previous support interaction so this doesn't start from scratch. The team should be giving you a straight answer, not the runaround. 🙏
