Sumi has a Safari extension, so you can translate manga in your own Safari — on the site you already read on, with your tabs and logins untouched. It was buried; now it isn't. Settings has a Safari section that shows whether it's switched on, and "Open in Safari" offers the two one-time setup steps instead of dropping you into a Safari that can't translate. A new sample chapter: original artwork drawn for Sumi, waiting on your shelf the first time you open the app. Translation reliability: fewer speech bubbles come back empty, and a bubble with nothing written in it no longer gets an invented line. Offline translation got a major quality upgrade: a new on-device engine now covers 11 languages, with cleaner phrasing and full-page context.

What's new: • Smoother, more reliable manga translation. • Rate Sumi or send feedback right from Settings. • Fixes and refinements throughout.

Reliability update: • Run out of free pages mid-chapter? Sumi now stops cleanly and shows the unlock screen right away, instead of failing page after page. • Rare empty translations now retry automatically on a backup model. • Sumi can now let you know in-app when an important update is available.

Fixes & polish: • pixiv Comic and other sites that open the reader in a new window now work — tapping an episode opens the reader and translates. • Faster cloud translation. • New first-run tips point out the browser and its translate button.

NEW: Sumi is now a Safari extension. Translate manga right where you already read — no app to switch to, no new login. A floating button appears on manga pages: one tap translates the whole screen. Also in this update: • Smoother scrolling while auto-translate is on • Faster, more reliable translations on long pages • Stability fixes

Turkish support (14 languages), sharper translations on color pages, and a faster reader. Thanks for reading with Sumi.
