Goodbye, scammer! Bye Bye, Con Artist protects you from calls from scammers—fake bank employees, couriers, tech consultants, investment scammers, and other numbers reported as spam.
The app uses a database of phone numbers updated daily based on user reports and verification by administrators. This ensures that only confirmed spam numbers are blocked, and numbers requiring caution are marked accordingly.
HOW THE APP WORKS
• Call Blocking: Numbers confirmed as spam are blocked by iOS's Call Directory—your phone won't even ring.
• Suspicious Number Warnings: If a number has been reported by the community but isn't yet confirmed spam, you'll see a warning during the call with the number of reports, e.g., "Possible Scammer (3 reports)." You decide whether to answer. • Trusted numbers: Verified, friendly numbers (e.g., your clinic's) are allowed through and marked with their name instead of a warning.
• Reporting: Report a suspicious number with a single tap, directly from the app.
• Daily updates: The list of numbers updates automatically once a day. You can also manually download the latest database at any time.
NUMBER IDENTIFICATION RULES
The app uses transparent rules for flagging and blocking numbers:
• 1 report - the number is immediately assigned suspicious status, and a warning is displayed to the user upon connection.
• 2 independent reports - the status is raised to dangerous, and the warning is more explicit.
• 3 or more independent reports - the number is submitted for administrator verification.
• After positive administrator verification, the number is marked as confirmed spam ("Number identified as fraud") and may be added to the blocked list.
No number is automatically blocked solely based on user reports. To ensure the system is fair to everyone, reports are assigned an anonymous identifier (UUID)—this prevents duplicate entries and prevents one person from repeatedly reporting the same number by posing as multiple reporters.
IMPORTANT – CALL HISTORY IN iOS
Due to the way iOS works, a number you previously called may not be blocked as long as it's still in your call history.
To clear your history: Phone → Recents → Edit → Clear → "Clear all recents." You can also delete individual entries by swiping left and selecting Delete. After clearing your history, we recommend restarting your phone.
Numbers marked as suspicious or spam will continue to display the appropriate warnings.
PRIVACY FIRST
The app does not read your contacts, does not read call history, does not access call content, does not create user profiles, and does not share or sell data to third parties.
The app only retrieves a list of numbers designated for call identification and blocking. Data used by the Call Directory features is used solely for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the call identification and blocking features. It is not used for user tracking, profiling, or advertising purposes. The anonymous call ID is random and does not allow for the identification of the user's identity.

1. Install and run the app.
2. Enable protection in: Settings → Phone → Call Blocking and Identification → Bye Bye, Con Artist .
3. Done!
