I've been using IXL for a while now, and it’s honestly a great platform for practicing skills in math, English, science, and more. The best part is how it breaks everything down into small, focused topics — so you can work on exactly what you need help with. ✅The SmartScore system helps track your progress and pushes you to really understand the topic, not just guess the right answer. Sometimes it gets a little repetitive or frustrating if you get one wrong and your score drops 😅, but it definitely helps you improve.Overall, IXL is super helpful for homework, extra practice, or just brushing up on skills. I really wanted to like this app, but honestly, I don't feel like I'm learning anything new from it. The interface is super complicated and confusing to navigate, which makes the whole experience stressful before you even start answering questions.The scoring system is the worst part. When you get a question RIGHT, you only go up by 2 or maybe 3 points max. That's it. But when you get ONE question wrong? You lose like 10-20 points instantly. It's so demotivating! Why would anyone want to keep trying when the punishment for mistakes is so harsh compared to the tiny reward for getting things correct?There's absolutely no fun or engaging way to learn here - it's just question after question with no variety or encouragement. The whole system feels designed to make you feel bad rather than help you improve. One correct answer = 2 points up, one wrong answer = 10-20 points backward. How is that supposed to motivate students?I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone looking for an actual learning experience. It's more frustrating than helpful.

IXL I literally hate your management I was at 99 and I got one mistake and instead of going to 98 or 97 you brought me all the way back to 79 do I look jobless to you? If I answer correctly you make me go 1 or 2 points forward like seriously this isn’t a joke or a game that you get to troll me around why the heck do you think students have all day to do IXL? I’m an honor roll student and I still get annoyed IXL questions are way too stupid , too annoying and is never straightforward. If I answer something correctly you give me one or two pints but as soon as I do a tiny mistake you bring me all the way back. I’m not jobless like you people. I have school team volleyball practice , environment club practice , religious classes clearly I am busy. My whole schedule get interrupted because of how annoying and stupid your app is. If you can’t make your app better I swear I will literally sue you guys for emotional distress. I have been forced to use IXL since the 1st grade which makes it almost 7-8 years of using this dumb app

As a 7th grader, this is a very good app! I finished a lot of skills and all, it also helps me remember all this and that. Yeah, it’s good.Unfortunately, I have to say my issues to this. It’s about the score. First of all, I wasted all my time (which was like — an hour??) to answer a question correctly, AND THEN GET 1 or 2 points increased! Just that much? And when I answer a question wrong with the smallest mistake, typo, etc. it decreases by 8 points, I almost had a mental breakdown answering questions incorrectly in this app. Overall, it’s a well-made app, very fun! It could be more fun if you fixed this problem.
