WHOOP is screenless, so all your data lives in the WHOOP app—for a distraction-free focus on your health. The WHOOP app requires a WHOOP wearable.
How it works:
Healthspan*: A powerful way to quantify your age and slow your Pace of Aging. Backed by leading longevity research, it pinpoints the daily habits that impact your long-term health.
Sleep: WHOOP helps you understand how well you sleep each night by measuring your Sleep Performance. Every morning, WHOOP provides a Sleep score from 0 to 100%. Sleep Planner calculates how much sleep you need to recover, tailored to your habits, schedule, and goals. You can even set a Haptic Alarm that wakes when you're fully rested, or at a specific time, with gentle vibration. Quality sleep is essential for improving your healthspan, metabolic mental resilience, recovery, and performance.
Recovery: WHOOP lets you know how ready you are to perform by measuring your heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and respiratory rate. You'll get a daily Recovery score on a scale of 1 to 99%. When you're in the green, you're ready for strain, when you're in the yellow or red, you may want to evaluate your training program.
Strain: WHOOP does more than just track your activity–it measures cardiovascular and muscular exertion to give you the most comprehensive view of the demands you put on your body. Each day, Strain Target will provide a Strain score from 0 to 21 and recommend your optimal target exertion range based on your Recovery score.
Stress: WHOOP gives you daily insights to pinpoint your stressors, understand your physiological response, and discover techniques to help manage. Get a real-time stress score from 0-3 and, based on your score, choose a breathwork session to enhance your alertness or increase relaxation.
Behaviors: WHOOP tracks over 160+ daily habits and behaviors—like alcohol intake, medication, and more—to better understand how these behaviors impact your body. WHOOP provides weekly guidance for behavior change and helps set accountability goals with the Journal and Weekly Plan features.
WHOOP Coach: Ask questions about your health & fitness and get highly personalized, on-demand answers. Using your unique biometric data, the latest performance science, and generative AI, WHOOP Coach generates responses on everything from training plans to why you’re feeling tired.
Menstrual Cycle Insights: Go beyond period tracking to better understand your fifth vital sign and get tailored cycle-based insights.
What else you can do in the WHOOP app:
• Dig into the details: See heart rate zones, VO₂ Max, steps, and more trends over time to adjust your behaviors, training, sleep and more based on your goals.
• Join a team: Stay motivated and accountable by joining a team. Chat directly with your teammates in the app, or as a coach, see how your team's training is going.
• Apple Health: WHOOP integrates with Apple's Health app to sync activities and personalize your experience.

I started using WHOOP in 2024, and I can honestly say that it became much more than a fitness tracker for me. It became a part of my journey toward a healthier and happier life. Before WHOOP, I never really understood how important sleep, recovery, heart rate, and daily activity were to my overall well-being. Once I started seeing my numbers every day, I became more aware of my body and, more importantly, more responsible for my health.I started tracking my weight every week, paying attention to my sleep, monitoring my heart rate, and making small but meaningful changes to my daily routine. Over time, those small changes added up. I have lost 13 kg, and I continue to work on improving my other health and fitness parameters.WHOOP also pushed me to become more active. I started going to the gym regularly, playing cricket, walking more, and making healthier choices in my everyday life. The biggest change, however, wasn't just the number on the weighing scale. It was the change in my mindset. I became more conscious of how I was living, how I was sleeping, how active I was, and how my choices were affecting my body.Looking back, I'm proud of how far I've come. Losing 13 kg is something I’m really happy about, but the bigger achievement is that I’ve developed a healthier lifestyle that I want to continue for the rest of my life.WHOOP didn't magically change my life. It helped me understand my body, stay accountable, and make better decisions every day. I made the changes, but WHOOP gave me the information and motivation to keep going.Today, I feel healthier, happier, more active, and more connected to my own well-being. For that, WHOOP will always have a special place in my journey.
WHOOP has completely changed the way I understand my body and my training.

I absolutely love my WHOOP! As someone who trains consistently and has made fitness a huge part of my lifestyle, I used to focus mainly on how hard I worked — but WHOOP has taught me that recovery, sleep and knowing when to push are just as important as the workout itself. What I love most is how much insight it gives me into my body every single day. Seeing my recovery, strain, sleep performance and how different habits affect me has made me far more intentional about the way I train and recover. It’s also incredibly motivating. I love waking up, checking my recovery score and understanding what my body is actually telling me rather than simply guessing based on how I feel.WHOOP has become part of my daily routine and an invaluable tool in my fitness journey. If you’re serious about your training, improving your sleep, understanding your recovery and learning more about your own body, I genuinely think it’s worth it.For me, fitness isn’t only about doing more — it’s about learning to train smarter, and WHOOP has helped me do exactly that. 💪🏼⌚️❤️Highly recommend!
Disappointing Product Direction — Bring Back Personal Motivation, Transparency, and Achivements

WHOOP used to be about self-improvement, healthy competition, and daily motivation. But recent updates have stripped away what made it special:•Personal Progress and Gamification Gone: The old “More” tab showed streaks, achievements, and records. Now it’s just irrelevant slides with no value or motivation. I loved sharing wins and competing with myself and friends. That drove me to open the app daily. Now there’s little reason to.•Lack of Transparency: No clear changelog, no onboarding for updates, no in-app notifications about removed features. Updates happen silently, leaving users confused and frustrated. Please add a loading story or notification for significant updates. Keep users informed, not guessing or thinking the app is broken.•Critical Chat Bugs Unresolved: Bugs like broken chat scroll are far more disruptive than visual redesigns for the sake of design. Focus on fixing real product blockers, not unnecessary interface experiments.•Don’t Become Just Another Tracker: WHOOP’s audience craves engagement, gamification, and personal bests—not a faceless spreadsheet. Anyone can make a fitness log in Excel. Don’t follow Garmin or other cold platforms. Keep the fun, challenge, and individuality alive.A plea to the product team: Don’t destroy what makes WHOOP unique. Avoid “convenient” solutions or fear bold choices. Motivation and loyalty come from features that spark engagement and joy, not from clean but soulless interfaces. Listen to user feedback and be transparent with us.

Honestly whoop depends on the person entirely, me personally I strive for a healthier lifestyle and better sleep overall. I tried the free trial 1 month to see if I liked it or not, and in-fact I loved it. It’s not for everyone and that’s fine. I’d recommend it to people who are wanting to be fitter and who do some sort of exercise or sport daily. One more thing, DONT let the whoop scores control your life. Whether you are on a red or green recovery, or whether your sleep score is high or low. Keep doing on what you’re doing and don’t let it justify your mood for the day. You have to be very committed to becoming a better version of yourself to be using a whoop everyday 24/7.
