Mega seems to holding up pretty well against the other pre-established names and I’d highly recommend using it. I couldn’t give it a full 5 star review as I felt the navigation throughout the app needed a bit more thought into confidently know what you are doing or where to locate things. Don’t get me wrong, in this day and age it’s good to think and not be a zombie, but the initial purpose of applications on all devices should be of convenience and not consume so much time taken away from the user to be productive elsewhere

The app has a downside…

Mega service is great and awesome, been using it for more than 5 yrs without any issues. However, the main downside of the IOS app is that it doesn’t let you upload your data while the app the running in the background. This is so frustrating especially with large or multiple files, the user has to keep the phone idle on the upload screen otherwise it will get paused, without any tracker or a progress bar in the notification panel. I do understand that it might be due to some technical limitations, but how come its not resolved and still there until now. Would he happy to get the technical support response on this.

The limitation you’ve described is due to how iOS manages apps running in the background. Unfortunately, the operating system suspends our app shortly after it’s no longer in the foreground, which can pause uploads in progress. Our iOS team has explored possible solutions within these system limitations, and we’re continuing to work on ways to improve background transfer so large or multiple uploads can be handled more smoothly in the future. We understand this can be frustrating and we’re committed to enhancing the experience as soon as possible.

A good one compared to other cloud storage apps

One of the best cloud storage app with good storage plans & system. It’s an easy to use app with fast file transfer or download facility. Also our files stored are encrypted so our data is safe. And while customer support is good it could improve further as sometimes they take time to reply back on email.

Sometimes there is no audio

I have been using mega for a while now and I have noticed some bugs. Mainly if you watch videos on mega sometimes the audio just doesn’t works in the app after you pause and play the video. Or if you forward or rebind the video, the audio just gives up and the video has no audio again. And also the app could really use a layout update as it’s seems really old fashioned
