Description

Yono Lite SBI is Mobile Banking Smart Phone application for SBI Customers in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, and Kashmiri languages.

Yono Lite is SBI’s retail internet banking-based application for your smartphones. A safe, convenient, and easy to use application with a host of features to help users manage your finances on the move.

Please complete the one-time registration process to start using the application.

New Registration process:
- A message will be shown on the screen regarding initiating an SMS to +917208871299 from the mobile device for validating user's mobile number. Users has to send this app generated encrypted SMS manually. Users have an option to retry sending SMS to an alternate number 8422833333.
- Click on ‘Proceed’ button and an SMS containing a unique code will be sent from the device to a predefined number. Kindly note that for sending SMS will incur standard SMS charges as per your telecom SMS plan.
- On registration screen, please enter Username and Password and click REGISTER button.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions for registration by selecting the check box and click ‘Ok’ button.
- An activation code will be sent to the registered mobile number. User has to complete the activation by inputting the Activation code in the app.
- User can now login to Yono Lite application.

Error in login

I wonder a nationalized bank like SBI cannot assign a good developer to develop and maintain a good and reliable mobile banking application. Issues at the core, now not able to login since introduction of new one time SMS registration feature. Every time i try to do one time registration but application gives an error that ‘we are unable to process your request, please try after some’ , but i have been charged for international sms cost every time. Tried calling the contact centre and branch directly, but all in vain!!!

Response to App developer feedback on the above issue- I am sending sms from the same device which has my registered mobile number. No idea what is the issue, but still not able to register or login.

Dear Customer, based on Bank policy , YONO Lite app users should have their registered SIM present over the device to avail the banking services. Kindly make sure that you are having an active SIM with ongoing SMS-pack & able to send SMS to anyone else from the same number. If any issue write to us at feedback.statebankanywhere@sbi.co.in.

Dosent work with international number

Registration fails when using UAE number which is already registered with the bank. Poor service no proper communication with anyone from bank.

Update: Works fine now after update to latest version.

Big Zero application not working

SBI application developer,

I have NRE & NRO SBI Account and I was using your application since long time and it was working so well and I was so happy with it however after updates not work at all . When I have updated the application, as per process sent several sms as per given in application. More so each time it is showing an error " Unable to process your request please try again". Almost daily I am sending this sms for registration. I am using my same registered mobile number in my mobile. I have spent already more than 200 Indian rupees just for registration because each SMS is charging 0.65 dirham/SMS, and till date I have sent sms for registration almost 15 times. 1 dirham = 20.1 rupees. It's very simple calculations. So I request you to solve this problems otherwise your bank will lose the customers.

Furthermore, I feel very bad to see how nationalized bank like BI cannot assign a good and professional developer to develop mobile application.

I hope SBI will take action on it and resolve this issue ASAP.
