German The app is now fully available in German: interface, rule texts, theory and all questions. Back to tests When you finish a test, the completion dialog now offers Back to tests instead of Cancel. Place the Lights: corrected vessel silhouettes and light positions, clearer wording in several questions (optional lights, pushing vessels, towed objects, anchor lights). Text fixes in light questions, rule texts and translations.

Quiz questions, redesigned for tablets On iPad and other tablets the picture now sits next to the answers, so you no longer scroll to reach the options. Place the Lights uses the same layout, with the light palette right under the vessel.

Light Placement Quizzes A new question type: put the navigation lights on the vessel silhouette yourself — masthead, side and stern lights, special signals. 74 questions across Rules 23–30, with hints, a light-by-light review and a direct link to the rule. Learn Annex I the practical way: where each light goes, not just what it means.

Maintenance Update Updated internal libraries for better compatibility with the latest iOS versions and improved overall stability. Minor fixes and performance improvements.

Smart Study Reminders Turn on optional reminders and Vessel Lights will bring you back only when there is something useful to practise: an unfinished exam, personal practice, or mistakes to review. Respectful Timing Reminders use quiet hours and weekly caps, so notifications stay focused and easy to control. Reliability Fixes Improved background sync for reminder profiles and fixed a rare secure-storage crash during start-up.

Exam Mode Sit a full mock exam right inside the app — timed questions across all the rules, with a final score, a complete mistake review, and a comment on every wrong answer so you understand the reasoning, not just the result. Built for iPad The rules grid now fits more cards on a single screen, and an animated swipe hint guides you through the quiz — studying on a larger display feels properly native. Polish and Fixes Refined theory reader and rules list, more thorough localisation across lights, sound signals, and theory, and more reliable offline content sync.

Personalised Test A brand-new test that targets your weak spots — practise the topics where you make the most mistakes, launched right from the home screen. Quiz, Refreshed Redesigned answers and explanations, refined progress bubbles, and a better layout on wide screens make studying smoother on every device. Bug Fixes and Polish Repaired sound and give-way cards, removed duplicate answer options, and kept your selected answer stable when ads load. Rule references are now properly localised throughout, and typography is more consistent.

Theory Section Revamped All theory illustrations have been replaced with updated images. Rule references now open in a popup overlay, keeping you in context while you read. Reading Customisation Choose your preferred font type, adjust font size, and switch between 3 colour themes (light, sepia, dark) for comfortable reading in any condition. Theory Progress Tracking The app now tracks which theory sections you have read, so you always know where you left off and what is still ahead. Quiz Improvements Multiple stability and navigation fixes. When you answer incorrectly or open a hint, a direct link appears to the relevant theory section so you can review and continue.
