We are Float, the app which sets manageable, daily goals and helps you to complete your essays on time. Create a float by giving the title, word count and deadline of your essay. Then Float tells you how many words you need to do per day to finish on time.


So what’s new?

Float Book Chats

Join a textbook with others that have the same resource. Comment and share your thoughts on the book you are studying from. You can ask questions and give insight into specific chapters within the book you are studying from. Also, to pick up a copy of the book, just press the bag icon located at the top of the comment area.

Float Campus & Shelves

Connect with students you are at university with in Float Campus. You can also share thoughts represented by emojis with Float Shelves.

Float Help

You can now connect with your university’s help centre by tapping on your university’s name in your profile area. If your university is verified, you will be able to connect with your university’s help centre via phone or email.

Float Essay Tennis

With a brand new feature called Essay Tennis you can get essays done - together - connect with friends as you serve word counts to each other. By completing your daily word count and serving it to the other player, they respond by completing the same or higher amount of words. We understand that the university experience right now can be a lonely experience, but completing essays needn't be. This is why we wanted to make something that allowed users to connect and have fun while they complete their essays.

Connect your essay with our Google Docs Add On via the G Suite Marketplace. Simply type in 'float' in the search, install and log in.

We know that some students find it difficult to manage their time and often leave their essays until days before the deadline which can have a huge impact on their overall achievement at university and even their mental health.

We want to empower students with the tools to work smarter and meet crucial deadlines - with less pressure. So we created an app that makes essay management easier for students.
