Ratings & Reviews
This release adds online card payment for gym memberships and class bookings, and expands the public Explore directory.
WHAT'S NEW
1. Public directory of gyms (Explore): improved listing and gym profiles with photo gallery, opening hours, facilities, disciplines, location map and membership plans. Visitors can browse without an account.
2. Public events: a list of the classes/events that gyms organise at their physical facility and open to the public. Visitors can see upcoming classes and book a spot online.
3. Public directory of personal trainers: a new section listing personal trainers with their profile, disciplines, photos, contact links and availability.
4. Online card payment for gym memberships and for class spots.
WHAT IS SOLD
Memberships/passes at a physical gym and spots in in-person fitness classes. These are real-world services that are used/consumed at the gym's physical location, outside the app. No digital content, app features, subscriptions to app functionality or virtual currency is sold, and the directory itself is free to browse.
PAYMENTS
Per App Store Review Guideline 3.1.3(e) (Goods and Services Outside of the App), these purchases use a payment method other than in-app purchase: the card is entered on the payment provider's (POK) secure hosted checkout page, opened in an in-app browser tab. The app never sees card details.
HOW TO TEST
- Explore > Gyms: browse gyms and open a profile(Unlimited Fitness is the only one with online payments enabled) > Memberships > "Buy".
- Explore > Classes: browse upcoming public classes, open one > "Pay" (online).
- Explore > Trainers: browse personal trainers and open a profile (informational; trainers' packages are paid at the trainer, not in the app).
The Buy / Pay buttons only appear for gyms that have enabled online payments, so please use the demo gym "Unlimited Fitness".
