Hello Hungry Studio,I am writing to make a serious complaint about the recent changes to Block Blast.I have played Block Blast for a long time, and one of the main reasons I chose this game was because it could be played offline. Now, after the recent updates, the game requires an Internet connection even to launch or play. This is completely unacceptable.Your App Store description explicitly advertises Block Blast as an offline game and says: “Offline Fun — Play anywhere, anytime — no WiFi required.” If the game now requires an Internet connection, then this statement is misleading.I do not need an Internet connection to play a simple puzzle game. I should be able to open the game on a plane, in the subway, in a place with no signal, or simply with mobile data and Wi-Fi turned off — exactly as I was able to do before. What makes this especially frustrating is that this change appears to have been introduced without clearly informing players or explaining why it was necessary. Please understand that players are not asking for something new. We are asking you to restore a feature that already existed and was explicitly advertised as part of the game.If certain online features, advertisements, events, or synchronization require an Internet connection, that is understandable. But the basic single-player game should NOT be locked behind an Internet connection.I strongly urge Hungry Studio to:1. Restore full offline access to the basic game.2. Allow Block Blast to launch and function without an Internet connection.3. Clearly explain to players why this change was introduced.4. Correct the App Store description if offline play is no longer supported. Please do not turn a simple offline puzzle game into an Internet-dependent application.I genuinely hope you will listen to the players who have supported this game and reconsider this decision.Thank you.
Hi, we’re sorry this change has affected the way you play, especially offline. The basic single-player experience should be accessible without unnecessary barriers, and we’ve passed your concerns about launch requirements and store wording to the team for review. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
