Pushup RPG: Fitness Quest
Push Up & Squat Counter Game
Only for iPhone
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Duel a friend in real time. Fight a boss with your body. Every rep is a strike — push-ups and squats, counted by the camera, never tapped.
Pushup RPG is a fitness role-playing game where your body is the controller. Prop up your phone, get into a plank (or stand tall for squats), and the on-device camera counts every rep in real time. Each one deals damage to the monster in front of you.
LIVE DUELS — TWO CAMERAS, ONE ROPE
• Challenge a friend and fight at the same time: forty seconds, both cameras counting, and a tug-of-war rope that moves with every rep either of you does.
• Nobody online? Duel a rival — Ironfang Wolf, the Frost Tyrant, the Nightwyrm. Each keeps a fixed pace you can see before you start.
• Record the whole bout and share it. Win or lose, the clip tells the truth.
• No mates about? Enter the Arena and get matched with someone at your pace. No chat, no messages — two cameras and a rope. Report or block any opponent straight from the result card.
PICK YOUR EXERCISE — PUSH-UPS OR SQUATS
• Take on the full adventure with camera-counted squats — the same XP, gold and loot as push-ups.
• Leg day counts: squats keep your streak alive, damage your guild's weekly boss and race friends on their own Squats leaderboard.
• 100% honest: every exercise stands on its own — your push-up records are never mixed.
WHY IT WORKS
• No gym, no kit — just your bodyweight and your phone.
• You don't grind a workout — you fight a boss. So you finish the set.
A REAL RPG, NOT A REP COUNTER
• A full story campaign — eight biomes from the Sunlit Meadow to the star-haunted Astral Gate, each ending in a boss.
• 48 hand-crafted enemies and bosses, ending with Aurelion, the Astral Eye.
• Endless Descent: a roguelike dungeon that escalates forever. Go deeper for richer loot, or bank your run.
EVERY FIGHT FEELS ALIVE
• Many foes fight with their own modifier — a rule badge that changes how the battle plays.
• Bosses shift stances mid-battle, gauntlets send foe after foe, some fights run on a timer.
TRAIN TOGETHER
• The Guild Boss Race — join or found a guild and fight a shared Weekly Boss. Every member's camera-verified reps chip its health, and its HP scales to guild size so small crews compete fairly.
• Worldwide daily and weekly ladders for push-ups and squats, plus a friends board.
• Your own country's board too — a ladder you can actually win, with your flag on it.
• Send a Cheer to keep a guildmate's streak alive.
GROW YOUR HERO
• Earn XP, level up and raise four stats — Power, Stamina, Precision and Fortune.
• Loot drops from Common to Legendary, colour-coded, with clear upgrade indicators.
• A skill tree — Might, Vitality, Focus — boosts your rewards, never your reps. The workout stays honest.
• Equip, upgrade, reforge and salvage gear with gold and gems.
• Pick a portrait — or, with Vigil, your own photo.
REASONS TO RETURN
• Daily, weekly and boss quests with real rewards.
• Streak tracking with freeze tokens for the day life gets in the way.
• Cinder, your ember companion, cheers every rep.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All pose detection runs on your device — no video is ever sent anywhere. Optional clip recording (off by default) stays on your device until YOU share it. Sign in with Apple, Google or email to back up progress, or play as a guest. Your cloud save holds game progress only — never health or camera data. Delete your account in-app, any time.
FREE TO TRAIN, MORE TO EXPLORE
Free to download and fully playable from the first rep — the campaign, rep tracking and levelling cost nothing. We never lock the workout behind a paywall. An optional Vigil Membership adds convenience and flair: found a guild, descend without limit, deeper insights, a gold name and crown, a Streak Shield.
TRAIN SAFE
Use a stable surface, warm up first and stop if you feel pain or dizziness. Pushup RPG is for general fitness and entertainment — it is not medical advice or a medical device.

• Setup keeps your answers and helps when reps don't count.
• New Game+ waits after your final win.

2.6.1 17 Oct
• Every foe has new art, and now shows the fight: hurt, then barely standing, then felled.
• Getting started is shorter: seven setup screens instead of ten. You pick toes or knees right where the camera first counts you, and how many days you'll train right on your plan.
• Vigil members can now switch to Lifetime straight from the membership screen, without waiting for their plan to end.
• A Vigil membership now follows your account onto this iPhone, wherever you bought it.
• A brand-new hero's Today screen now shows one thing: the first battle.
2.6.0 12 Oct
• Push-ups have a new setup: stand the phone on the floor in front of you, screen facing you, instead of at your side. That's where the most reps count, and the setup guide and coaching tips now say so.
• Your duel record now counts Arena duels only: the ones against a matched opponent. Every other duel, with a friend or a fixed-pace rival, is practice and no longer changes it. The record has been recounted from your duel history, so your numbers may differ from before.
2.5.11 7 Oct
• Finish a week in the world top 100 for push-ups or squats and a trophy shows on your row all the next week: gold for the top 10, silver for the top 50, bronze for the top 100. It comes with up to 3 gems to claim.
• Guild halls now level up with the gold members give, and every hall's level shows on the guild ladders. A new hall log shows who trained, cheered, gave gold and felled the weekly boss.
• In timed campaign fights, the foe now winds up and strikes as the clock runs down.
• Gems from the daily tribute, the Vigil members' bonus and the guild boss now stay yours when you switch phones.
• The push-up setup guide now shows your hands planted under your shoulders, and a new ⓘ button next to the X brings it back any time.
• New Game+ no longer takes away the daily Descent quest from players who have finished the campaign.
• The squat depth bar now stays empty during the countdown before a set, like the push-up bar.
2.5.9 29 Sept
• New Game+: finish a campaign and you can run it again with the same character. The enemies are tougher each time round, and the cycle you are on is shown on the map. Push-ups and squats keep their own cycles, so finishing one leaves the other exactly where you left it.
• The depth bar now moves with you from the first moment of the way down, instead of sitting still and then jumping near the bottom. It also stays empty during the countdown before a set, so a full bar always means a rep that is being judged.
• Playing on a second phone no longer costs you progress. The phone that has done the most work wins — counting every exercise, not push-ups alone — and the skill points, gems and depth rewards your totals had already earned are paid out instead of quietly disappearing.
• Adding someone with an invite code now says they joined your friends list, not your guild.
• Wording corrections in every language the game speaks, including what the oaths are called.
2.5.8 26 Sept
• Duels come alive: the rope moves with every rep, a bell opens and closes each fight, and you hear both sides' reps, even on a phone speaker. A face-off intro opens the bout, “5 IN A ROW” calls out a streak, and badges such as PHOTO FINISH, COMEBACK and SHUTOUT show how the win was earned.
• “Share result” turns a finished duel into a picture of its result card, and every duel you share carries a “Duel me” link so friends can find you.
• Squat duels: the line on the depth bar sits at the same height as for push-ups, your choice of Push-ups or Squats stands out clearly when you pick your rival, and a big SQUATS or PUSH-UPS badge appears before the countdown. The Standard now keeps its full pace on squats, and squat duels reach Apple Health as squats.
• The Arena now counts only the players searching for the same exercise as you.
• A duel your opponent never shows up for now ends quietly, without a victory fanfare.
2.5.7 22 Sept
• Squat duels: choose Push-ups or Squats when you pick your rival, then take on the Arena, a rival or a friend. A friend needs this update on their iPhone to duel you on squats.
• Replaying a battle you've already won now pays a quarter of its XP and gold.
• Free Training shows the XP each set earns, and streak rewards now appear whichever way you trained.
• When a Collection milestone has gems waiting, the Hero tab shows it.
• A duel your opponent never shows up for no longer counts as a win.
• In duels, the countdown no longer ticks back up, and a rival now waits while iOS asks for permission to record your screen.
• Item names read naturally in Russian, Polish, Czech, German, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
2.5.6 19 Sept
• More honest push-ups count: deep reps with your hips a little high, reps filmed from the side, and fast reps that don't fully straighten before the next one.
• The plank timer starts more reliably once you're in position.
• When the coach offers to count knee push-ups, it now applies to that workout only. Your own setting stays as you chose it.
• The Hero screen explains what Power and Stamina do in the Abyss.
• The app's 12 translations now also cover onboarding, the Descent, guild bosses, loot stats and set bonuses, chapter names, recovery stretches, and the coach's tips when a rep doesn't count.
• Your progress saves more reliably when you leave the app, and closing the app right after a win can no longer count those reps twice.
2.5.5 16 Sept
• Your weekly chart now shows push-ups and squats as separate bars instead of one combined bar.
• Duels show your win rate, and the duel screen says up front that duels are push-ups.
• If the camera can see you but no rep has started, it now tells you why instead of staying silent.
• The last corners of the app that were still English are translated: foe names in the Bestiary and mid-battle, the portrait picker, your rank on the boards, and gear slot names.
• Playing on two devices no longer loses items or forge levels, and a full satchel now tells you when it sells something to make room — never anything you're wearing. Item names show properly in English again.
• Vigil members collect the daily tribute and the member bonus with one tap.
2.5.4 12 Sept
• Four more languages: French, Vietnamese, Polish and Czech. The whole app, not just the welcome screen.
Fixed:
• Parts of the app were still English in every language — the billing line under the paywall, the entire Settings screen, and the coaching the camera gives you mid-set. They are translated now.
• Counts read correctly in languages that inflect. A one-day streak said "1 dni" in Polish and "1 Tage" in German; the widget had the same problem, and one of its labels was showing an internal name instead of a word.
• Foe names were English on the lock screen and throughout the Endless Descent, and so were the hero classes. All of them are translated, and the art still matches the name.
• Guild buttons were being cut off in eight languages — the word was simply wider than the button.
2.5.3 7 Sept
• The app now speaks your language. Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, German, Turkish, Spanish and Portuguese — the whole app, not just the welcome screen: coaching, battles, guilds, duels, settings and everything in between.
Fixed:
• If you own Vigil for life but a subscription is still charging you, the app now says so on the home screen and takes you straight to the place that can cancel it. It was possible to pay twice and never be told.
• Members who had already cancelled were warned they'd "be charged again" for the rest of the term they'd paid for. They aren't, and it no longer says they are.
• In the Arena, when nobody else is searching the app now offers to watch for an opponent right away instead of making you wait for it.
2.5.2 5 Sept
• When the camera is running and still hasn't counted anything, the app now tells you what it can actually see — "I can see your shoulders but not your arms" rather than a guess. If a change of form would help, the offer to switch is right there instead of buried in a sentence.
• Squats and sit-ups now report why a rep didn't count, the way push-ups already did. If your reps aren't registering, we can finally see which check refused them instead of only how many.
Fixed:
• Tapping "Photo" on the portrait screen opens the membership page instead of doing nothing until you close the picker — and the navigation bar no longer disappears afterwards.
• Choosing the same photo again now works. Picking the picture you already picked used to quietly do nothing.
• The duel screen shows that it's recording. It was the one camera screen that never said so.
• "Reps aren't counting unless I go slowly" is now something we can measure — that refusal had no name of its own, so it was invisible in everything we look at.
2.5.1 2 Sept
• Pull-ups and dips. If you have a bar or a dip station, the camera now counts those too — in Free Training, alongside push-ups, squats and sit-ups. They keep your streak and hold their own records, keeping them separate from every other exercise, and like all Free Training they pay no gold or loot. This is their first release and counting on a bar is harder than counting on the floor, so if a rep of yours goes uncounted, use the report button on the session — it tells us which check refused it.
• Take back a guild application you have changed your mind about. Until now only a captain could end one, so an application you regretted sat in their queue until they got round to it.
• When the camera is running and nothing is being counted, the app tells you why. It used to watch in silence.
• A session that counted nothing can now be reported — it was the one kind of session you could not tell us about.
• Finish a set and Free Training offers you squats, the second movement most people never found.
• Playing as a guest, the app now offers once — free — to link an account. A guest account has nothing to sign back in with, so linking is the only thing that carries your progress to a new phone. It asks once and takes no for an answer.
Changed:
• A streak shield now saves your streak whatever training earned it. Level up during Free Training, squats or a rest day and that shield can cover yesterday's gap, exactly as it always has after a battle.
• The Proving ends when you stop, not when you move again. Your verdict arrives as soon as you rest, instead of waiting for a rep that is not coming.
• Far more people are offered a recalibration. If your first count set your targets too high, the app is much more willing to ask again — the same work should not cost one player twice the push-ups.
Fixed:
• Your friends' faces come back after you close the app. They were being thrown away on every cold launch.
• Squat gauntlet progress no longer resets when you train on a second device.
• Sit-ups count toward your weekly rep quest. They were only moving the daily one.
• Before the Descent, the reward line now describes the Descent instead of the campaign's bonus for the day.
• The white line on the squat depth bar now sits where a rep actually counts. It was drawn about ten degrees short, so you could squat all the way to the line, be told nothing, and get no rep. The line has moved; what counts as a squat has not changed.
• Reinstalling no longer plays a level-up ceremony for a level you earned weeks ago.
• A push-up is no longer refused over a knee the camera had lost track of.
• Leaving the app mid-set no longer loses the reps you had just done.
2.5.0 31 Aug
• The Arena waits for you now — ask it to tell you when someone at your pace turns up, and get on with your day.
• Past Floor 10, the Descent shows you the way down instead of stopping.
• The Proving is now a mode inside Free Training — one graded set, whenever you want it.
• Take the oath: refight a realm you have cleared with your gear set aside.
• Your guild tells you when someone applies.
Changed:
• The day's twist now says what it does — "Scholar's Day · +25% XP from every foe" — instead of a mark you had to tap.
• Today is quieter: fewer lines, and the foe you are about to fight is front and centre.
• Streak shields now bridge up to five missed days in a row. You keep every shield you have and each still covers a day — a single gap just can't stretch further than five.
Fixed:
• On a boosted day the map now shows what a fight really pays, instead of the base reward.
• Your music keeps playing. Opening the app no longer stops Spotify or anything else.
• The camera asks your phone which way up it is every time, so a sideways picture corrects itself.
• When the camera can't see your arms it now says so, instead of counting nothing without a word.
• Streak milestones announce themselves again, whatever you were doing when you crossed one.
2.4.3 27 Aug
• Duels keep a record now. Every finished bout is written down — who you fought, the score, and how close it was — and your win-loss tally sits on the rival screen where you pick the next one. One of you asked for this.
• The result arrives the moment the clock hits zero. It used to sit on a blank scoreboard for a few seconds while the score settled, which felt like the app had stopped. It had not; now it does not look like it either.
• Leaving mid-set no longer reads as a broken camera. A call, a notification, a swipe home — the camera reported a failure and made you start over. It comes back where you left it.
• Nothing goes backwards when you switch phones. Cleared chapters, wounds and daily claims could be lost when one account was used on two devices. Each is now merged rather than replaced.
• Squats and sit-ups count more honestly. A knee the camera could not see was read as a straight leg and the rep refused; a sit-up set could get stuck in a rest that never ended.
• Fellowship captains can set a minimum level to apply. A hall with hundreds of pending requests was unreviewable, and the list itself could hang the app. Set a level and the queue thins to people who will actually train with you.
2.4.2 23 Aug
PLANK AND SIT-UPS. Two new ways to train, both counted by the camera, both free. Your plank is timed to the second; your sit-ups are counted the same way your push-ups always have been.
• Squats count from your first rep. They used to refuse the start of a session until you stepped out of frame and back — the app had measured you while you were still walking to your spot, and then held you to it. Fixed.
• PAYDAY — every deed you have ever earned now pays gold, going back to your very first rep. Claim it all in one tap.
• Titles. From Kindled at ten push-ups to Eternal at a million, your highest one rides beside your name where your friends can see it.
• Deeds start at 10 reps now, not 1,000 — so there is something to earn from your first session, not your fiftieth.
• Reps that didn't count now count. The camera was refusing honest push-ups, often the deepest ones, and saying nothing about it.
• It tells you when it loses sight of you — out loud, even with your phone on silent. A plank is held face down and sit-ups are done lying on your side to the phone, so you cannot read the screen mid-set. Counting now stops with a sound instead of with silence.
• The camera finds its own angle. Each phone teaches the app how its front camera is mounted, from your first session, so a sideways picture straightens itself. If it ever still comes out wrong, the rotate control is in Settings, and it stays put.
• Your records, for every movement. Stats now keeps your longest plank, your best sit-up day, and lifetime totals for each — separately, never merged into one number.
• Knee push-ups: switch right there on the camera, mid-set. No more walking to Settings.
• A week of squats no longer swallows your weekly rewards.
• Fights are the length the game always claimed they were, and the timer finally tells the truth about it.
• THE ABYSS IS A REAL CLIMB. Past floor 80 the pace tightens hard, and floor 100 is now a summit rather than a step. If you were deep before, expect it to fight back.
• Squats need your hips to move, not just a knee.
• The Bazaar's gold cache responds when you tap it. Guild requests no longer stall a full hall.
• Your rank, shareable — one tap turns your place on the world or country board into a card worth posting.
• Fixed: onboarding restarting mid-session, the navigation bar drifting after switching apps, a crash when saving a duel clip, a black camera on re-entry, and the result card being unclear about which side is yours.
2.4.1 19 Aug
• THE ARENA — get matched with someone at your pace and duel them live. 40 seconds, both cameras, one rope.
• Your own country's leaderboard, alongside the worldwide one — a ladder you can actually win.
• Pick your flag, and fly it next to your name.
• Send a duel as a link, so a mate can accept from anywhere.
• Squats: fewer honest reps refused.
• Camera screens open faster, plus crash fixes.
2.4.0 14 Aug
• Duels: a new scoreboard — bigger clock, levels under both names, and a bar you can read at a glance.
• Duel recordings now end on the result card instead of cutting at the bell.
• Squats: fewer honest reps refused, and the coaching is readable mid-set.
• "Reps not counting?" now covers squats — send us what the camera saw.
• Crash fix, plus bug fixes and performance improvements.
2.3.2 4 Aug
• Use your own photo as a portrait (Vigil). Report any picture from the ••• menu.
• A refused rep now tells you why.
• Knee push-ups in Full mode say so instead of vanishing.
• Your first rep back after stepping out of frame counts.
• Still miscounting? Settings › Reps not counting? sends us what the detector saw.
• Duels: forty seconds, five-second lead-in, no skipped countdown.
• Captains hear the moment someone applies.
• Faster faces, a cleaner Today screen, sync fixes.
2.3.1 3 Aug
Duels are here — live, against someone who is actually there.
DUEL A FRIEND, LIVE
Challenge anyone on your friends list and their phone lights up with the invite. Accept and you both start together: two cameras, 30 seconds, and one rope between your scores that pulls with every rep either of you does. Friends only, and the server keeps the clock — so you both see the same numbers and the same winner.
SIX RIVALS, ANY HOUR
No friend free? Duel a character instead. Each holds a fixed pace we print before you start — 14, 26, 34, 44, 52 or 68 reps a minute — and it never speeds up or slows down to keep things close. Beat the Bone Knight and you actually beat it.
YOUR OWN FACE
Everyone has a portrait now, and it is the same one other players see next to your name on the boards. Open the Hero tab to change it — there are ten to pick from, and Cinder has been redrawn from scratch.
KNOW YOUR REPS
Free Training now tells you how many of your push-ups actually reached full depth, and whether the rest were too shallow or too fast. The camera always measured it. Now it says so.
WORLDWIDE LADDERS
Daily and weekly boards for push-ups and squats, and a guild boss your whole hall fights together — your reps now count toward it properly.
FIXES
• Duels score identically on both phones, right down to the last rep before the bell.
• Guild raids credit your streak, records and quests like every other fight.
• Leaderboard ranks past 99 no longer wrap onto two lines.
Cleared all eight realms? The Proving is waiting for you on the Today tab: one graded set a week, three attempts, and only full-depth reps count.
Every rep is counted by the camera, on your device. You never tap a number.
2.3.0 1 Aug
• Combat 2.0 — foes now carry their own modifiers and bosses shift stance mid-fight, so no two battles read the same.
• The Guild Boss Race now runs all week — fell your guild's boss, then keep climbing into overkill.
• Stability, detection tuning, and fixes throughout.
2.2.0 31 Jul
• Deep chest-to-floor push-ups now count more reliably — even late in a hard set.
• Fixed false "knee push-up" detections.
• Stretching between sets no longer counts as reps.
• A royal welcome for new Vigil members.
2.1.1 23 Jul
• Pushup RPG now speaks Simplified Chinese.
• On a free trial, your membership card shows when it ends and what happens next.
• Duels now show each fighter's flag.
• Replaying the intro keeps your hero's name.
• Fixes for rewards that could fail to save, small iPhones, and more.
