From a design perspective and just “coolness” factor, this set is quite creative and fun to play with. It’s way over the top with bold sounds and criminally overdesigned graphics, it’s lovely and shows what Apple could do with their hardware if they would stop jerking around moving chairs around on the design titanic. The Apple glass “Window Aero” look and feel is a vomitous wretch in so many ways, they should hire this guy as a consultant to clean up and clarify their language and buttons and graphics. I’m not saying this app suite is perfect, there is a lot in the designs that goes beyond the balance between beauty/creativity/utility, but it’s darn interesting as an approach. And the sounds on a 15 Pro are mind blowing. That said, I would love to support this developer but it’s a subscription model, and a substantial repeating annual chunk of change that is beyond my available fixed income budget. The apps are so much more beautiful and fun compared to the stock Apple drivel, and most 3rd party apps I’ve tried. For people with lots of spare cash and a love of cool stuff, perhaps this subscription is within your weal house, no harm in supporting the cool work of this artist. I’ll have to look again, the only thing that comes close to a “need” is a timer app for the watch that is easy to read and navigate with older eyes and fingers, yet another thing Apple has shown themselves to be utterly incompetent at understanding and implementing. (How many decades into the iPhone and they still assume all users want mediocre blends of “glass” and other non-contrasting cues to navigate these tiny devices?!?). I’d possibly, very reluctantly, pay $15/year just for a stellar watch timer, though would much prefer a reasonable one time purchase and be done with it. Otherwise I’ll probably play around with this app suite for a little while and delete it, most subscriptions are instant turn-offs and usually something I don’t want to commit to “forever” paying.
