Very good - definitely underrated in App Store

I love this app but I want to address the negative reviews first. People are complaining a bit that this isn’t fully customized. The reason is the meals are selected from a library of healthy meals depending on your current diet and needs. If you don’t work for it, it’s a lot like other meal planning apps. The catch here is Nootric actually pairs you up with a nutritionist who will listen to you and help you make healthy substitutions if you want to change an ingredient or an entire meal. So if you take the time to actually work with the nutritionist and learn healthy habits it becomes very much customized. This app has introduced me to a lot of healthy foods and habits. Having a real person watch what I eat and keep me accountable really helps to motivate me much more than just following AI or a preset meal plan. It also is super cost effective when it comes to meals. There are a lot of diet plans out there where they deliver food for you to cook or microwave or stick in the air fryer but those meals are expensive. Nootric teaches you the recipes, helps you with your shopping, allows you to make smart substitutions after consulting your nutritionist (in app - real person), and I’ve ended up spending around $8-10 USD per day for three meals and 2 snacks. That’s good even for those of us who aren’t used to the healthy food aisles in stores! I was expecting it to be so much more expensive but I feel like I might actually be saving money here and getting healthy. Now the results of working with the nutritionist so far have been great. My diet feels healthier, I have natural energy, I am having better bathroom trips, I’m losing weight quite quickly, and I feel like my skin is cleaner and less prone to pimples etc. I definitely recommend Nootric if you’re willing to put in the work to better your habits and diet, actually communicate with the nutritionist, and be a little flexible with what you’re willing to try. It’s very good.

Lots of options if you want to be a vegetarian. Otherwise, you’re hosed. I looked at the “clean eating” meal plan. It says clearly that it is a meal plan designed to “avoid refined grains” (their words, not mine) so why is a giant bowl of pasta salad an option? I am BAFFLED that someone thought this was a good idea. The food offered in each of the diet plans has no correlation to the health benefits that the diet plans advertise. It’s like they threw a dart at a wall of recipes and added those to the meal plans. Nothing correlates. I eat an AIP diet to reduce inflammation and have for years. (No gluten, legumes, dairy, eggs, yeast, soy, sugar, nightshades) I was hoping for an app that would give me some recipe ideas as I’ve gotten into a rut. There is no recipe that is even close to something that I could eat. This app is so generic, I’d have better luck typing “diet recipe” into Google and just taking my pick of what pops up. What diet are you interested in? IT DOESN'T MATTER - just make yourself a big bowl of pasta salad and see what happens! I literally see no value from this app, and I can’t imagine there is a nutritionist alive who would recommend a giant bowl of pasta. (Unless, I suppose, you were a distance runner?) Maybe if you were plagued with the worst eating habits imaginable, this app would give you a leg up, but for the rest of the population that understands the difference between a zucchini and a potato chip, you should pass.

I have also checked with our nutritionists team, and they have told me that according to the WHO regulations, WHOLE cereals (such as corn, millet, rice and wholemeal pasta) are part of a healthy diet, including inflammatory processes. There is currently not enough scientific evidence that has established what an anti-inflammatory diet is and what it is not.However, scientific evidence has detected foods that should be limited (such as REFINED carbohydrates, red meat...) and foods that have beneficial effects (nuts, green leafy vegetables, INTEGRAL cereals...).We must add that all our nutritionists are real and have a university degree. They act following guidelines endorsed by the reference health organisations.

So…I downloaded this app thinking I would have a personalized plan / nutritionist on demand. I was very wrong and sold by the other reviews on the app. I should have ran when I just saw 12 reviews. Anyhoo, what I actually got after spending $62 for three months was a nutritionist who used pre canned templates to put together a meal plan. When I asked to have it more personal, I was told it didn’t meet the vision of the meal plan…. Huh? I asked for clarification, but that question was ignored. My vision is what I thought I was paying for — a nutritionist who listens to my concerns, talks to me about my goals and develops a personalized meal plan. Not to mention, the app is extremely basic and not $62 pretty…. If you’re considering purchasing…definitely save your money for something more reputable.****Update, the developer responded that we had a chance to speak via email. However, this is inaccurate as an email discussion never happened and no one has reached out to me.

So…I downloaded this app thinking I would have a personalized plan / nutritionist on demand. I was very wrong and sold by the other reviews on the app. I should have ran when I just saw 12 reviews. Misleading advertising- I thought I was getting personalized and customized meal plan. It’s all canned - they have a live person called “nutritionist” you can chat with, yes, but all she told me was - here is the link to a guide (links to pre template meal plan) and lose 2 pounds a week ask me any questions. I asked any tips for flat belly diet - she said do you workout - I told her what I did. Her response was - eat healthy and workout. I don’t need an app to tell me that. I told her I eat primarily Indian vegetarian food - she said they don’t offer plans for that yet. I didn’t pay money out of pocket unlike some other unlucky souls, I got it through Gympass. They took me personal information like which medication I take - please do not give them your money or medicine information. I am shocked that this app exists and Gympass supports it.
