Swerv is the platform for people who are tired of conventional dating apps. By using a platform specifically designed to help you meet the right people while you’re out, Swerv preserves the critical in-person first impression when meeting someone new. You often know within a few seconds if there’s chemistry (or not!) when you meet someone in person.
WHY CONVENTIONAL DATING APPS ARE FAILING YOU
They provided us with convenience, and overloaded us with too many options. Humans cannot effectively form a lasting social connection when you meet and interact with someone electronically, over text messages. Swerv only allows messaging when you are at the same physical location as another match, mainly to facilitate an in-person meeting. The goal is to get you to the right places so life can happen organically, not electronically.
WE BELIEVE IN MEETING PEOPLE ORGANICALLY
After you sign up, you enter physical and social details about the people you would like to meet. While you are online in the platform, Swerv plots all the people who match with your preferences on a map (anonymously), providing you the knowledge to decide the best places to go for a higher chance of meeting them in person.
SWERV IS SAFE
We’ve spent the past 8 years developing and testing Swerv to make sure it’s safe. There are many safety mechanisms built in to ensure you can’t be tracked. Your location isn’t updated in real-time, only every 5 minutes. Go online while you’re out, go offline any other time. Set privacy areas around any location and Swerv will hide you automatically. When you walk or get in a car, Swerv disables your location automatically until you reach your destination. Stay completely anonymous, or make your photos visible is you want to be recognized.

Not great, nobody on it
I live in Southern California, so maybe it hasn’t gotten around here yet, but in a town of tens of millions of people, there were only like 4 people. Lame, but hopefully it picks up, I like the idea of it, has potential. Also annoying that it makes you keep location services on all the time.

Hi there, you can go offline anytime by pressing the power button on the top left of the screen. Location only needs to be on/enabled while your online, or the app is in the background (this is how the primary goal of guiding you to meet people is able to work successfully).
We are still new but growing quickly. Keep in mind its a different dynamic than traditional dating apps that flood you with profiles to keep you swiping. On Swerv, you'll only see the people you match with, and those people have to be online at the same time as you. This is why we consider it more of a dating tool than an app. Keep checking back as more users are joining every day! Appreciate the feedback and thanks for believing in us!
