I’m not one to write reviews, so me writing this as something. I got this app a while ago, and I enjoy the stories that come out of it. And I’m sure you will too — but unless you’re willing to spend 3 to 4 minutes between chapters just watching ads to unlock the next chap, then this app ain’t for you. I originally downloaded this app because I was curious as some of the stories that I saw on the ads, and I initially really enjoyed many of the stories that I read. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying the AlphaNovel Plus membership at first and it was great. There is a coin system in use with the app — you use these coins to unlock chapters. But along with the coins, you simply just had to wait an hour before the next chapter was unlocked, and with the Plus you could watch 1 ad that reduced the wait time in half (so let’s say if it was an hour you’d watch the ad and it would cut the time down to 30 minutes.)BUT THEN — bruh, they completed switched it up. You know HAVE to use coins to unlock chapters and or you now have to watch three ads in order to unlock the next. Don’t get me wrong, they have ways for you to gain coins for the FREE — but it requires sharing stories with friends. It’s not as fun or exciting going into the app anymore, frankly, it’s quite daunting. I’m trying to paper through it because I have about 6-7 different stories I was reading but now I’ve given up on a lot of them because the coins required to unlock some chapters are HIGH. I hope they seriously bring back the 1 hr wait time

I’ve had this app for about a month now and have found a few books that I have let slowly invade my life. I am not a fast reader unless I am captivated by a book. And I stopped reading YEARS ago. I couldn’t find anything that interested me. Now I spend the majority of my day reading again thanks to this very app. I never thought that I would get back into reading. The authors are all amazing minds with captivating stories that capture you from the first chapter! The editors need some help grammar and repeating sentences leave you struggling to figure out what the author is trying to say sometimes. You get a free chapter every hour until about the last 20 chapters (for most books) and that is what you save all your coins for. You get reading rewards for up to 90 minutes (read next paragraph for my only issue) and you can watch 5 ads daily to get more coins.I give this app 4 stars in hops that the creators will see this review and hear my only complaint. Why do I have to read on this app for 5 solid hours for the app to sometimes register that I have been reading for “90 minutes” so that I can get my daily reading rewards? Like today for example, I started reading at 1 am it has now been 4 hours and my app says I’ve only read for 15 minutes? Please fix this problem!

This is my second day using the app and I never left a review before but in this case, it’s different. So far, I love the book that I’m reading, it’s great and I’m hooked. But the reward system is so bad and frustrating that I cannot rate this app a 4 or 5 stars. I paid for $2.99 for 500 coins. You would think that it would be enough for at least 1/4 of the chapters…nope. By end of chapter 14 out of 300 chapters, it all ran out. I watch 7 ads so I can read more chapters but it only gave me around 30 coins and each chapter is about 60-70 coins! Also, I was only limited to watch 7 ads and had to wait 20 hours. To earn more coins, I followed you guys on Instagram and Facebook. I shared with friends. Just to get 100 coins. I honestly found it laughable on how much an app was giving me a hard time to READ! And it’s called a reward system but it feels like a punishment! Whoever created this reward system needs to find an easier way to make it affordable for people to read chapters. Not everyone has money and the least that can be done is make a reward system that actually rewards the readers in an engaging way like 7 ads is 7 FREE chapters or if you share, you get 2 free chapters. Or like WEBTOON, where you have one free chapter(also ad-free) and 3-7 chapters that you can unlock if you watch an ad. This app has potential! Please take this into consideration I think it would really help.

Its a good app, and I’ve spent many hours reading and watching ads. Personally, I don’t mind the amount of coins you can get a day, though if you choose to spend money on a book, you’ll end up paying more than you would to buy a regular book in a store. That being said, finding a book I want to read is not easy. Once you choose a book, there’s plenty of info to decide if you want to read it in the description, but you can only sort the options by subject. I would like to only look for completed books, but instead I have to click on each one individually to find out.Lastly, I would like the ability to rate a book in the app. I’ve read stories that sound good, but the typos and continuity errors ruin the story. I also would then like the opportunity to sort the open library by rating. Some books are really good and I can’t put them down. Others don’t seem to be proofread at all, and I’d like to be able to tell without having to read multiple chapters first. I still plan to use the app, since the good ones are worth it, but it’s frustrating having to go around the same issues every other book.
