Songs of Conquest is a turn-based strategy game inspired by 90s classics. Lead powerful magicians called Wielders and venture to lands unknown. Wage battles against armies that dare oppose you, hunt for powerful artifacts and expand your territory. The world is ripe for the taking – seize it!
Adventure Awaits
Explore a wide variety of maps with diverse enemies and valuable loot. Delve into contrasting biomes with unique factions, environments and battlefields.
Build an Empire
Manage resources, research new advancements and expand your kingdom. Plan your towns to match your playstyle – Will you enlist every archer you can to rain death from their bows, or will the eternal legions of Aurelia march to war beneath your banners?
Play Your Way
Handcrafted maps for the curious adventurer, or randomized maps for endless replayability. Conquest maps allow head-to-head battles, while Challenge maps offer strategic puzzles to hone your tactical thinking. Find a plethora of maps created by the Lavapotion team as well as our mod community.
Alone or Together
Venture into the world of Aerbor on your own, team up with a friend, or enlist AI allies and enemies - the choice is yours. The majority of maps are playable in single player, co-op, or multiplayer through local hotseat or online.
Four Factions
Four factions are locked in an epic conflict. Arleon, knights of old battling each other for dominance. Rana, ancient tribes fighting for survival in the swamp. Loth, necromancers raising the dead to create a glorious future. Barya, bold mercenaries and inventors dedicated to coin, gunpowder and independence.
Four Choral Campaigns
Listen to the bards as they celebrate your path to victory. Each campaign comes with a unique song that tells the tale of your rise and ruin. Unlock new verses as you complete missions, enjoying the full track at the end of the journey.
In-game Map Editor
The in-game map editor allows you to create your own adventures using the same tools the developers use to create campaign and skirmish maps. Script in-game events, control the soundtrack, write dialogue and share your creations with others!

fun but...
Raziel Ophan
so this is like HoMM, and that is nice. i love the primitive graphics, also nice. major problem (for me at least) is that it insists on my being on steam to change my profile/player name, and i have to be on steam to pay and download the DLC. hey devs, here is something you might want to consider: maybe people don't *like* steam. fact is... i hate them. it never EVER works for me for some unknown reason and steam itself has given me NO help to make anything they ever do work properly. you want money from me? got to get it without steam. how about letting us do our own profile and not rely on steam for it, or at least tell me what file it is saved under so i dont have to be named "player 0001" this kind of thing makes me feel like a second rate citizen. thanks for that i guess.

The HoMM Clone I’ve been longing for!
The One and Only Pheh
I’ve only just gotten started but this appears to be the HoMM clone I’ve been looking for (for literally decades). Thank you, thank you, thank you! Will update this review at when I get some hours under my belt.
Love the game - hoping for the DLC
Iblys001
Just a wonderful game. Great gameplay, graphic and music. I have enjoyed the storyline as well. I’m concerned that the DLC has been available on Steam for a month at this point - worried that it will not be available in the Mac App Store.
- Fixed multiple bugs that were related to attacking a wielder standing on the wall-gates.
- Fixed so that AI wouldn’t get stuck in a thinking loop in case of the rare situation where it ends up with zero troops.
- Fixed issue that caused chats with non-latin alphabets often would get cut off mid sentence
- Significantly improved performance when capturing an enemy town that held a lot of research
- Fixed not getting the correct battle map when attacking a wielder that is defending a town with walls but is standing on one of the gates (this could cause exceptions if the wielder’s troops plus town garrison would be more troops than a normal map can handle)
- Fixed various issues regarding threat levels and listings of defending troops when defending commander is not stored in the town but just inside the walls
- Prettified random event popup
- Fixed AI players often not losing as many high-HP troops as they should from battles on their turns
- Fixed build menu showing build menu for wrong faction if opened for settlement with no empty build sites and set up to use another faction’s graphics
- Fixed issue with Story Actors not having their collision properly setup (and being hard to select) when starting out hidden and later being revealed
- Misc bug and stability fixes.
- And much more!
