Description

* Now you can try out TabBack Lite on the App Store for 7 days.

Like Safari but miss the functionality of going back to previously used tabs?
I also was, until I ended up writing this app because I really liked the browser for many reasons.

Key features:
• Customizable shortcut. (possibilities: ⌃⇥, ⌥Q, ⌘1, ...)
• Works when webpages are loading as well.
• Does not ask for permission to read "webpage content". Permission to access "browsing history" is only used to display tab titles.
• Supports both Separate and Compact tab layouts in Safari.

TabBack requires Safari 14.0 or later. (You can check your Safari version by opening Safari and going to the menu bar > Safari > About Safari. Safari Technology Preview is not supported.)

If you need any support, you could email me at contact.seungwoochoe@gmail.com anytime :)

Nice!

Been using it so far for 5 minutes. Looks like the developer put a lot of careful thought into building this right. Very Apple like. Well done! I had started writing this extension for myself a year ago but never saw it through to the end. I'm glad I found this, looks like I might not have to write my own after all, given how well this is working so far!

Fixes ctrl-tab in Safari

I never understood why Apple knows cmd-tab is most useful in most-recently-used order, but doesn't use the same order for ctrl-tab (or cmd-`).

This fixes the problem well in Safari. It even does the right thing and does *not* show its window list if you ctrl-tab fast. The list only shows if you hold for a second.

Fixes My Biggest Safari Gripe!

I'm a longtime Firefox user, but I've recently been using Safari more due to the convenient tab syncing with my iPhone and iPad. My biggest complaint on the desktop has always been the behavior of ctrl Tab, and this extension finally sets things right. Thank you!
