Been playing this game for several years. Took a couple of years off, but been solidly playing for about 6 years. Not much into strategy games, but this is fun. Kind of reminded me of WoW in the beginning. So I started my son playing when he was like 7 or so. It’s fun, I don’t need to play all day to advance and there is no nudity or foul language in the game. That I like!

Voice acting and incredible art were the best part of the whole game and the good qualities immediately stop there. UI felt unfinished and very unintuitive. 4 different clicks then a drag and drop to equip an item is excessive. Coins are in decimal points for...some reason? Immediately time gated. Most of my time was spent doing something else on other apps while my character did 1-3 minute long quests right out of the gate that seems okay for late or mid game but not for getting started. If one of the first things your players do is find something else to do then that’s a problem to me. Just didn’t hold my attention as a new player. UI frustration was my main issue though. All in all not miserable but there are much better alternatives.

I am not far in and it goes slow. At first I rejected it because to go on a mission puts you on a loading screen for quite a while so at my lvl (22) there is a lot of waiting... but I work on several characters at once on 2 different accounts to keep me busy with it, until I run out of “energy” to do missions, then I am done. Oh and I usually only get matched up with characters higher than me in the arena, sometimes 10 levels above me so I rarely win an arena match.. I do wish they would make it even.. only go up against your level.

Old players on new servers run loops around the new guys. They level at four times the speed. On the other end for your free spins you have to watch 1 ad for 3 tokens. You need 200 tokens a day so that’s 66 ads a day. The only way to avoid ads for that is to buy mushrooms. Arguably you can skip the wheel. But it gives you exp/money/items and rarely mushrooms(this games gems)to compete a little. Also for extra energy which is 10 mushrooms a day will blow through your wallet in no time. You could play the game not doing any of this but it’s like putting your e~brake on while driving.
