Open a place to find the photos you took there, right beside your footprints. • Asks Instead of Guessing: When even the nearest match is too far away to trust, Retrace no longer writes down a wrong name. The place shows the neighbourhood it's in, with a grey "?" on the map. Where were you a year ago today? The top of your timeline now looks back at the same date and shows you the footprints you left there. Places you keep returning to sit under a single pin on your travel map, and GPS tracking has a switch in Control Center. • On This Day, a Year Ago: The top of your timeline looks back at the same date in earlier years. If you spent time somewhere you don't usually go, or wrote something down that day, a card appears with the places and the words you left there. Tap it to jump straight to that day. You can turn it off in the drawer menu. • A Place, on a Page of Its Own: Open a place and its address and type are up top, with favourite, rename and map right underneath. Below that: how many times you've been, how long you've stayed, when you first came and when you last did. Then the hours you tend to be there, and what you usually do. The map opens full screen, where you can move the centre, resize the circle, or fix a single GPS point. • Three Visits, One Pin: Go back to the same spot three times in a day and the map used to stack three identical pins on it. Now it's one pin with the count in the corner. Tap it to see each visit of that day, then tap one to open it. • One Card for One Activity: Visits and trips open as a half-height card you can read at a glance and swipe up for more, instead of a full page you have to back out of. The buttons you actually use sit along the bottom: change place, favourite, turn into a trip, edit time. A trip card names where it started and where it ended, and tapping either end takes you there without closing the card. A place Retrace worked out for you can be confirmed with one tap, with nearby candidates right beside it. • Search Places You've Never Been: Search now reaches Apple Maps as well.
