What's New • Your Shared Library now follows you. Join a shared library on your iPhone and it shows up on your iPad automatically, no need to enter the code again. Switching or leaving a library also carries over to all your devices. • Shared recipes stay up to date. When a member edits or removes a recipe, the change now reaches everyone's devices automatically, not just new additions. • Setting up a new device? If your library is empty while iCloud is still syncing, Mercury now tells you that your recipes are on their way and the first sync can take a few minutes. Improvements • More reliable iCloud syncing between your devices. • Mercury now refreshes your Shared Library when you open the app or return to it, so new recipes are already waiting for you. • Using Siri or Shortcuts to log a cook no longer interferes with iCloud sync. • If a shared recipe can't be removed (for example, you're offline or another member added it), Mercury now tells you why instead of the recipe quietly reappearing later. Bug Fixes • Fixed footnotes being lost when creating a new recipe or importing one from the web, a photo, text or ingredients. • Fixed editing a Shared Library recipe sometimes creating an unwanted copy in your personal recipes. • Fixed shared recipes sometimes appearing twice. • Fixed recipes removed from the Shared Library lingering on other members' devices. • Fixed fractional servings (like 2.5) being rounded down when editing a recipe. • Removing a photo from a shared recipe now removes it for everyone. • Replacing a recipe with a copy from the Shared Library now moves the old version to Recently Deleted, so you can still restore it.

What's New: No new features in this release — 1.2.5 focuses on polishing recipe import and layout. Improvements: Importing from meal-kit sites is much cleaner: embedded tip lists inside step text are now converted to readable lines instead of coming in as raw markup, and amounts written with fraction characters (¼, 1¼) or glued to their unit (250g) are now parsed correctly even on the web-import path just as they are on the AI-import path. Long recipe names on library cards now expand to a third line and scale down slightly when needed, so the full title stays visible instead of being cut off. Bug Fixes: Fixed an edge case where HTML tags and entities from a recipe's webpage could leak into the imported recipe name, description, ingredients, andinstructions.

Version 1.2.4 (build 2) New Features - Critical Control Points in Cooking Mode now show specific information: the exact target internal temperature (e.g. "Cook to 165°F internal temperature") plus guidance on what to verify; Control Points explain what to follow. - Imported recipes keep your original directions word-for-word. The instructs the AI to copy each step verbatim, then verifies every against your pasted text (text, photo, and web imports) and restores the original wording whenever the AI paraphrased. - The Import from Website sheet now reminds you that you can share directly to Mercury. Bug Fixes - Units and amounts no longer fail to import from column-formatted text. - Fixed fraction amounts occasionally importing garbled (e.g. "¼ cup becoming "14 g"). - Personal library recipes now refresh immediately after saving an matching shared library behaviour. - Editing an ingredient or step directly from a recipe's detail view right away, updates the view instantly, and refreshes Cook Mode's step ingredients.

What's New - Recipe scaling — Scale any recipe from ½× to 8× right from the ingredients list. Every ingredient amount (including substitutions) adjusts instantly, along with the serving count. Scaling is display-only, so your saved recipe is never changed. - Multi-part recipes — Recipes with named phases like "Make the orange sauce" or "Fry the chicken" now keep their structure. Part headers appear in the recipe view, in cooking mode (so you always know which phase you're in), and in shared text and Markdown exports. - Add parts while entering recipes — When creating or editing a recipe manually, a new "Recipe part" field lets you group steps into parts. The field remembers the current part between steps, and a quick-pick menu reuses parts you've already named. Improvements - The grocery list now opens pre-set to whatever scale you chose on the recipe page, and supports fractional scaling (½×, 1½×) instead of whole batches only — using the same scale menu as the recipe view. - Web imports now recognize equipment lists (like "Equipment: Dutch oven") and file them under Notes instead of mixing them into the instructions. - Imports from well-structured recipe sites now preserve the site's own instruction groupings as recipe parts. - Each step can be assigned a part in the step editor, so you can organize older recipes too. Bug Fixes - Fixed imported recipes showing equipment or section-header lines as numbered cooking steps. - Fixed instruction group names from some recipe sites being discarded during import. - Editing an ingredient while a recipe is scaled can no longer save the scaled amounts back to the recipe.

New Features in Version 1.2.2 Show Tips setting A new toggle in Settings lets users turn off all TipKit tips app-wide. The setting is stored in AppStorage and a new ConditionalTipView wrapper automatically respects it everywhere tips appear — no tip will render when the setting is off. Library status in the share sheet The "Copy to My Library" and "Add to Shared Library" buttons now reflect whether the recipe is already present. If it's already in your personal library, the button changes to "Already in My Library" with a checkmark. Likewise for the shared library. The shared library check is reactive — the button updates in real time as recipes are added or removed. Improvements Recipe import sentence spacing When importing recipes, steps that had sentences run together without a space (e.g. "Heat the pan.Add oil.") are now automatically corrected to "Heat the pan. Add oil." This is applied across all import paths: Foundation Models, JSON-LD, and plain text. Shared library status available immediately on launch The SharedLibraryViewModel now seeds its sharedRecipes list from the local SwiftData cache at startup, rather than waiting for the CloudKit sync to complete. This means the "already in shared library" check works correctly from the moment the app opens. Bug Fixes - Light image export had light text — Exporting a recipe card with the "Light" style produced white text on a white background. Fixed by switching from adaptive Color(.label) (which respects the system dark/light mode) to explicit Color.black for all text when the background is light. - Share extension version number was null — The CFBundleShortVersionString of the share extension showed as (null) due to a circular MARKETING_VERSION = "$(MARKETING_VERSION)" self-reference in the build settings. Removing the target-level override lets the project-level value propagate correctly. - SwiftData compile error — var dateAdded: Date = .now caused a build failure under the SwiftData @Model macro. Fixed with the fully-qualified form Date.now. - 11 compiler warnings — Addressed across SharedLibraryViewModel, HACCPAnnotator, RecipeImporter, and CookingModeView (unused variables, ambiguous enum cases, and discarded return values).
