I’ve wanted to get into this game for ages and I’m excited to finally have it on my phone! After playing through pre searing ascalon, here are the things i noticed. 1. this is the full, complete version of the 2005 game. It’s literally the pc game on your phone, not watered down at all.2. There are minimal performance issues (occasional lag, but nothing unplayable) but the game should be played with access to a charger since it uses a lot of battery3. the UI is good, operates well on mobile, though it would be nice if it were possible to zoom/out. item details also don’t appear on selection, and only appear when held. finally, sometimes in outposts it is possible to accidentally open the chat since messages appear in the same place as the joystick zone.GW1 is an old game, admittedly not for everyone, but the mobile port is functional and enjoyable for a new player like myself. wish i could give it 4.5 stars, since there is room for improvement, but i haven’t encountered anything to significantly hinder my experience.

I have been playing GW since 2006, and have been saying it would be a great phone game ever since GW2 release, so thank you for making that happen! The port is solid, some bugs but the devs have been pushing new builds live very frequently to address them which I appreciate. Many of the reviews here seem very confused: this is THE full original mainline Guild Wars game from 2005. You are in the same instances and servers having the same experience as us long time players on PC. It’s fully cross play enabled, I’m playing on mobile on the same account I’ve had since 2007 and often swap between the PC and mobile version. I wouldn’t personally play the hardest content on mobile (yet), same as other cross play games, but my experience questing has been great and this release got me hooked to gw1 again. Keep up the great work and thank you for bringing new life to the game! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many new players asking questions in Ascalon and Kamadan, and it’s been fun welcoming them to the game.

The game itself has no issues, it is dated, but it’s worth playing. I would easily recommend this to anybody new or old wanting to try out a gem of a game. There’s a few current issues that I’m sure we’ll get resolved with time. The free version has ads, which isn’t the problem. The problem is this current issues with trying to skip ads, not working, forcing you to close the game and re-launch it in order to continue playing. In addition after buying the game I keep getting ads, I think this is a major issue that needs to be resolved ASAP as it will severely damage the ratings if more people run into this issue.To clarify how I in-countered this issue. I made a new Apple Account, played a bit then connected my apple account to my arena net account. I bought the pc version and put the key into my account on pc. Going back to the game on mobile, it shows my account is a paid account with the new content unlocked, however I still get ads. Very frustrating.Moving on there’s also the issue with the UI, due to the phone being the new medium it’s being played on you run into a difficulties read and navigating the UI. You do get used to it but it definitely feels a bit clunky.Despite the inevitable issues you run into I think it’s worth downloading and playing. If you were ever hesitant about getting this game on PC and want to try it on mobile this is a perfect opportunity to do and if you love it, you can download it on PC play it there and all your work will transfer over. Having the game in your pocket is a wonderful experience, once my issues get resolved I’ll adjust my rating.Edit: My issue was resolved in 20 mins after making a ticket. Amazing work, thank you

As a kid I always wanted to be able to play WoW or guild wars on the go, I loved looking into UMPCs that were super expensive at the time for little power running in the atom processors. I am so excited to take Guild wars on the go with me for the first time in a way I had always dreamed. They do need some slight updates for iOS, pinch to zoom on the map would be a great addition. I’m hoping to use a clicks power keys with this once it arrives. Did I mention, Guild wars is a masterpiece? The graphics though old are beautiful, the game mechanics are unlike any other mmo with the build system, guild wars 2 is similar but not quite as versatile as Guild wars 1. I’m hoping this makes alliance battles and jade quarry bigger and a return of campaign runs, build sharing and all the wonderful things that made this series, unique, beautiful, and the masterpiece it is.
