Update:There are still major issues with the mobile version. Very buggy. It disconnects from my wifi when at rest and when I unlock it it all freezes. The Wifi and the VPN. At times I have to delete the app and reinstall to get it working again. I notice it struggles in the transfers from wifi to no wifi also. Happens very often. Nothing internet related will load when this happens. Everything must be reset or reinstalled. Today when I logged into my phone and went to the VPN express app it was flashing back and forth between the main connect button and the little pop up below. Totally frozen there just flipping back and forth disconnected. Nothing worked. Had to delete and reinstall. It works fine with PC and TV Streamers though. The mobile is extremely unreliable so far in my opinion. Iphone user. Original:This works awesome on the PC but for mobile it has been spotty. There seems to be an issue with auto reconnecting along with the wifi on routers. When reconnecting to either the router or the vpn everything freezes and disconnects the wifi to reconnect everything. Its Burning data and usually i have to disconnect the vpn in order to reconnect the wifi in order to get the vpn to reconnect. It just freezes showing it is reconnecting but never does. Problem is that it will not connect to the wifi so you are burning data unless you notice its frozen. Happens every time and needs to run smoother or I will be canceling the service and trying another.

We bought 6 months of Express VPN with no prior knowledge of VPNs for our 4 month trip to China. The main reason we wanted it was every body else was also getting it and so that my wife could easily access her online American classes. Throughout the 4 month program, Express was extremely temperamental. It connected a large portion of the time for the first month, but during national holidays or just randomly for the rest of the experience, Express took 5-10 minutes to connect or it didn’t connect at all. We tried all of the different area-specific recommendations (Such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Los Angeles) and still nothing. Not being able to rely on Express connecting when we needed it was super frustrating, especially when my wife had tests that could only be taken within a couple of days and Express was failing to connect for days on end. What was even more frustrating was towards the end of the experience, we found free VPNs such as VPN Cat that not only connected immediately without fail every time in China, but they were also completely free. I would have left 1 star, but the one plus side of Express is that when it actually is able to connect, the video streaming power is more powerful than the other VPNs we used. By the end of the program, the other students in my program had more or less all switched to other VPNs as well. Overall, I am very disappointed in ExpressVPN’s reliability, and I wish I could get the $60 I spent on this service back.

We’ve been using EVPN for a couple of months. They’ve had regular updates and some minor UI changes. We use it on iPhones, iPads and Windows PCs. All connect and run well. I have one mini gripe, a slightly minor complaint and an observation pertaining to router upgrades. The mini gripe is that my iPad will connect to the guest wifi at work with EVPN, but my iPhone will not. Also, prior to 2 updates ago, it would connect my iPad in 30-40 seconds. Now, it takes 1-3 minutes with something closer to 3 being the norm. It seems to pause for some time between attempts. Before it appeared to try more rapidly. The minor complaint I was aware of going in; only 5 simultaneous connections. There are several services with comparable security and worldwide connections with more simultaneous connections for a lessor price. The 2 reasons I went with EVPN instead of one of the others was 1) to support a particular affiliate and 2) EVPN is the only one to have their no logs policy verified in the field. Reason number 2 was a distant second to no. 1. I really would appreciate more simultaneous connections. So much so, that I will likely go with a competitor when my current subscription expires, if EVPN has not increased that number. EVPN doesn’t appear to have verified compatibility with any wifi 6 routers. On the site I only found ACxxx capable or lower.
