These audio lectures are very useful for helping to target your studying and focus your efforts in preparing for the NBRC asthma educator exam. However, a word of warning; the exam is HARD. The material itself is extremely uncomplicated, and the lectures do a fantastic job of reviewing and reinforcing the key points that you will absolutely need to know. But the questions on the NBRC exam feel as if they are meant to be as confusing as possible. I ultimately passed, but it was a close call. Too close for comfort. I would recommend these lectures, a good written study guide (with charts of asthma severity, control, and the stepwise treatment schedule), and I would purchase the supplemental practice test through the NBRC to get a feel for the type of question you’ll encounter. Use these lectures as a supplement, but don’t solely rely on them, and DO NOT underestimate this exam.
