Quickly and conveniently book flights and manage your trips on the go.
As your flight approaches, your boarding pass will appear in the ‘Trips’ tab. Your boarding pass is saved for offline use in the app but can also be added to Apple Wallet.

Stay up to date with notifications about flight and gate changes, cancellations, and booking changes.
Log in with your Aeroplan Number to sync all your bookings to the app with ease.

These functions apply when enabled:
• Location: your location data is used to show the closest airport(s) for booking, and flight status.
• Camera: add images to the feedback you send to Air Canada.
• Notifications: push notifications are used to send you service messages related to your upcoming travel.
• Wi-Fi connection: used to determine if internet access or a connection is available for the entertainment system on Air Canada Rouge flights.
• Your device identity log information (phone model, language, system and app version) is attached to comments you send when an issue is reported via the App.

App going downhill since May 2019
Update: Received an email that my suggestion about viewing the seat map before entering your personal data and booking was going to be implemented. The computer website was updated and works fine. However even though the cell phone app says it has been added I cannot find it anywhere before the actual booking??
Also an additional feature that needs to be implemented is when you select your flights but decide you want to change it before completing it should be able to delete it and start over. Without having to delete the app and reinstall the app.
Very unfortunate that you had a app that was pretty good back in May 2019 and now it’s worse. The main feature I liked was being able to see the seat map BEFORE you purchase a ticket, because I like to see if the seats are available I like before I pay for the ticket not after. Don’t know who’s working on this app, but need to fire them and find somebody else that knows how to do it right with the customer in mind.

Worst airline app I have seen
I travel a lot. I have almost every airline, train, ride sharing, seat advice, etc. app there is. And this Air Canada app is among the worst out there. To be honest, it is so bad I don’t even know where to start. It lacks even the most basic search criteria. And it has absolutely no (yes it is true) ability to sort search results. Not by price, duration, number of stops. Nothing.
I don’t understand how/why they would make something so profoundly awful when there are so many good airline apps out there they could simply copy.
Wouldn’t Expect Anything More!!!
I swore to never get on an Air Canada flight, EVER again - probably 3-4 years ago.
Let me tell you, forget this app, forget Air Canada all together. This company must be stopped. Rude staff, subpar services, out of date airplanes, and now this app... I don’t even know where to begin with this piece of garbage. This is a disgrace to Air Canada, but honestly I wouldn’t expect anything more from them.
