When reviewing a product, or an app in this case, I usually read negative reviews first. I found the complaints personalized which didn’t reflect on the app performance, so I decided to give it a try. After downloading the app for free I rejected the free trial as I didn’t want the hassle of canceling within the timely manner. As I searched within the app, applying filters with very few options since the pro ones where locked, I was pleasantly surprised how naturally it enhanced my face features. I tried photos from my last trip and I used the ones I took last after a 9 hour flight trip. My makeup was mostly gone and I looked tired but after applying the filter I looked like myself as if I had a full face of makeup done. I even applied a filter on my husband and we both looked refreshed and natural. Some people are photogenic and look amazing on pictures but there are some of us that look worse on photos then in real life. This app is for you! When comparing my old unedited photos with amazing natural lighting and rested face with minimal makeup, I looked the same with the filter applied on recent pictures while being tired from the trip with terrible lighting. Of course there are exaggerated filter options and you can have fun with those, considering you have a good foundation of self esteem loving yourself as you are 😉 in regards to this app being expensive. Yes it is! But it’s definitely worth it, because pictures are beautiful memories that can transport us back in time ❤️

On this app on how I want my face structure! This app is so realistic, I can’t live without it now, I’m the catfish queen 🤷🏻‍♀️! Although it’s slim pickings of filters & other cool tools they lack of they make up for it in the face sculpting, makeup & hair styles + colors which you can’t find in any other apps (trust me I’ve tried them all) other apps may have similar features but won’t look realistic or even appear in detail like face app, after deleting this once my free trials were up (yes plural as in i was using my sons account to get more free trials whoops don’t hold me accountable please I am now a paid member 😉) I had to re-subscribe no app not even FaceTune could compare when it comes to how I want my face even though I’ve always been skinny and petite I can’t get rid of this round face with chubby cheeks and a big ol’ nose other apps only give you the basics this app allows you to go in complete detail with cheek bone structure jawline a cute nose, slimmer face and the contour in makeup is flawless especially if I’ve already done my makeup it really just brings everything together, the only few things I wish they could add or fix is obviously some photos it won’t register or load it’s has to be up close and front view, and the “detail” tool should be added in like pics art where you click on a little diamond and you can highlight what you want to pop or shine, & more filters would be great like HDR and stuff more artsy and aesthetic pleeeeaaase!

I paid happily for their services and never regretted it. Well now I paid only to find out this app no longer offers any video capabilities… zero information on rather they will or even design the video capabilities again. So if you’re just trying to figure out if this app is for you then I highly suggest to look into other options because much lower cost for others and this app is not for natural beauty enhancement in my opinion. The photo adjustments will completely change your look and be unrealistic appearance. The no longer available video option was much more gentle on keeping your natural facial features and only enhanced them unless you wanted more than you could choose that as well.

Hello,Kindly note that it was decided by our development and management teams that video editing will be available in a separate application. FaceApp will remain a photo editing app as it was in the beginning, and video editing will be removed gradually from the application. This will allow us to implement more sophisticated editing processes into both applications. We want to note, that for the last few months FaceApp has been advertised and sold as a face editor only, all mentions of video functionality from App’s description were removed to avoid any misunderstanding.As for the video editing application, at the moment we are working on enhancing and improving it and hope to introduce it soon to all our users. Update: 🤓❤️🎉 Thank you for your quick response. I changed my setting and am all excited to use this app again. For those with the same issue, if you go into your settings and then general, it allows you to add the switch gender option. Most of you probably already know this, and I probably could have looked it up if I hadn’t been caught up in my personal baggage. But, thank you again developer(s) for taking time to address my concern. I’m looking forward to playing with everything this app offers in the next year. This was the concern addressed: If I smile in my photograph, the app sees me as female, but if I use resting face in a selfie, I'm seen as male. I am a girl by the way, and I am offended and upset by this. I really like the app as a female, but the unknowing of if the app is going to see me as a girl or a guy raises my anxiety and stress level as soon as I open the app. It also makes me feel ugly, even though I know I’m not. I wish there was a way to at least choose our gender on this app. Not only would this be good for me, but it would be better for those that want to be seen in a more masculine or feminine way. I know it’s not an easy algorithm to fix, but I do hope you would. Until then, I am stuck for the next year with this app whether I use it or not.

Our application allows users to change whether the app recognizes them as male or female.Please proceed to Settings -> General and find a switcher for Show gender switch icon. You will then be able to switch an interface manually if the AI Face Recognition falters on gender categorization.
