Description

The SFST Report app was designed to let Law Enforcement Officers save time and efficiently take notes during field sobriety tests.

LEOs can easily use this app to take SFST related notes, generate a report, email it to themselves and erase the data from the app.

WHAT OFFICERS SAY:
-----------------------
“This app is great! My agency is buying it for whoever asks for it because of how well the report is detailed already. This is truly a huge deal! Again, thank you so much!”

“What an awesome job!! Your hard work has significantly reduced the work I have to do in the field! I use this app every shift! Thank you for everything!”

APP FEATURES
---------------
- Vehicle in motion section

- Note taking for driver and vehicle information (driver name, gender, vehicle brand, license plate, ...)

- Driving license scanning to load the driver's info automatically

- Note taking for the following tests:
** Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test (HGN)
** Walk & Turn test
** Lack of Conversion test
** One Leg Stand test
** Finger to Nose test
** Modified Romberg test
** Hand Pat test
** Hand Coordination test
** PBT results

- All tests have instructions (except for the lack of conversion test) for the officer to remember how to run the test and what to tell the driver.
- The conversation with the driver is in English and Spanish. The text in Spanish can be played as audio files to communicate with the driver.

- SFST report generation, preview and export by email

- Data deletion from the app once the report is exported

- Option to secure the app with Face ID or Touch ID. This way, only the officer can open the app.

- Dark mode to reduce the amount of light coming from the app at night. It makes the app easier to use in low light conditions.

The app is well organized, easy to use and intuitive. It was built with input from law enforcement officers.

Note: We plan to update the app regularly to add more tests and features so please let us know how we can improve this app by sending us an email (from settings page)

Officer K in NC ,

Good, solid App!

I have been using this app for almost a year and the improvements have made it hands down the best app I have found for the iOS platform.

I agree that adding a few things such as a section for Chemical Analyst and Intox testing would make it that much better and a complete DWI app vs. just the SFST. Also, for walk and turn, re-arranging the check boxes to run left to right instead of top to bottom would be much easier to input, along with a description narrative on how the turn was wrong. The last thing I would like to see would be a voice record box so that the officer could speak the steps missed and then go back and mark them off bc it does happen quickly.

I recently noticed that the pricing structure has changed and it has become a monthly service instead of a one time purchase. While I do love this app, I would not have originally purchased the pro upgrade as a monthly subscription.

Useful but needs more

So I use this app a lot. DUI’s are big and prominent in my area for sure and this app makes it pretty easy to get a quick little guide down for your Fields. I do with they added a way to put the blood analysis in and also just counted the clues once you submit your test results. I think it’d make it a tad quicker and overall just better. Truthfully don’t have much to complain about with this app and recommend it to everyone especially those who don’t handle DUI’s regularly.

Cover Photos

My review is actually more of a suggestion to the developer and I’m happy to remove it if they would like. The photos used to demonstrate how the app can be used have several flaws. Firstly, the officer’s report says that the suspects eyes displayed different pupil sizes, and uneven tracking. Then it goes on to give the results of his HGN test. If a suspect has uneven tracking OR different pupil size, they are automatically ineligible for SFSTs. Secondly, it shows the suspect having nystagmus at maximum deviation in only one eye, which I guess is technically possible, but in my experience almost non-existent In the real world. Maybe just have an actual cop write one up and change the names so it’s actually realistic. Just lends a little more of an air of credibility to the app from the start.

Developer Response ,

Hello Officer, thank you for your feedback on the app. The different HGN options are there to have a comprehensive list even if some options happen rarely.
