Note for users running on mac OS prior to Big Sur: The moon phase icon displayed on the menu bar will show up with inverted color (i.e the phase is drawn in black color instead of white. This applies only to the icon on the menu bar, the moon calendar will render correctly). This is a platform limitation with menu bar on older OS. On Big Sur and higher, the moon icon will appear correctly on both light mode and dark mode.

So Cool! ...Question
Perfect, works as expected, neat and tidy, and honestly interesting to keep track of. I haven't been able to loctate the option to make an actual widget as shown in image 2... Maybe make that a little more clear? Thank you for the great app, totally worth it!
All I ever wanted...!
I have used a few different moon apps on my MacBook, but all I've ever really wanted is just a widget that opens at startup, lives permanently in my menu bar next to the weather widget, shows me at-a-glance which phase we're on, and expands with a drop-down window which tells me everything I need to know. The dropdown gives the current phase, the times for sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset, plus the date and time for the next full moon. Below that, there's a full calendar illustrating the lunar phases for the entire month.
My only nitpick—and this is such a minor quibble—is, when the UI is in "light mode," the menubar icon looks like it's reversed. This is to say, the filled-in portion looks like it's a shadow, when it's actually representing the part of the moon that is illuminated. This can be confusing! In "dark mode," however, it looks great.
Awesome app!
Developer Response ,
Thank you so much for the feedback. About the moon phase icon in light mode, if you are on Big Sur or higher, we have now added an option to invert the colors on the moon icon displayed in the menu bar via a preference setting. Location picker doesn't specify state/province
The location selection menu needs to include state/province names in addition to city and country. For example, there are more than 10 towns named Springfield in the United States and there’s no way to know which one you’re picking.
San Francisco seems to be the only US city with a state designation (San Francisco, CA).
