ev.energy: Smart EV Car Charge 4+

Nice

Got my Model 3 connected up to this app after my buddy said it was helping him save a bunch of money per month charging. Pretty easy, I barely look at it but am saving about $15 / month on electricity and earning some rewards which is nice. Had a couple issues with the adding my power rate at first but their customer service was very good and helped me figure it out. Recommend this app!

Flaws defeat the whole point of the app

I downloaded this app for my utility co benefits. Unfortunately, when setting up an account in app it did not give the option to connect to the utility co. The connect to utility button shows up in app only after you have an account. The kicker is that it wants you to make a new account to have that benefit but you need to use the email associated with the utility co, which was the email I used to sign up for the account initially. Thus it would not allow me to make a new account connected with my utility co. I proceeded to delete my account to hopefully free up the email to make new account . . . It has been a few weeks and I am still not able to make a new account.

Long story short the account handling processes/execution is fundamentally flawed and gates from benefits that you are entitled to (assuming you doing this for utility co monitoring) .

Doesn’t work properly

I started using this app recently and facing a bunch of issues. The app doesn’t show me an option to charge only during the off-peak hours. I raised a ticket and also emailed support but everytime I get an email from a different person to try to resolve the issue and after 1-2 emails, that person disappears. I don’t see the point of this application when it starts charging my car as soon as I plug the charger in when I want to charge during off-peak hours only. It defeats the whole purpose of the app. I am hoping somebody can really look into this issue and help me resolve this. Otherwise, I will have to unenroll from the program offered by my utility company that wanted me to use this app to manage my EV charging schedule.
