Minor bug fixes and enhancements _____________________________________ ICYMI: For version four, there are improvements “four” every single part of the application… over one hundred changes and improvements! So… we’re probably good on my promise of delivering four new features? Here are the for (four?) most exciting ones: - a new toggle for changing the color space through which the color transformations happen - a new Blend tab for blending multiple colors and creating gradients - enhancements to the palette sidebar, including the ability to import and export palettes into web files - Big enhancements to the view modes - play around with them using the W, G, B, and F key Help Paletter’s quest for perfection - any bug or feature request, however small - I’d love to hear it! Color Ninja is becoming Paletter, and it’s launching with a beautiful new icon! For version 3, there are 3 big changes: • New “Compare” tab for mixing colors and determining their contrast as per WCAG. Just drag a color tile on to the “Compare” tab to try it out! • Image Color Extraction: get the prominent colors of an image straight right from the application. To apply, simply click on the photo icon in the top right corner, or drag an image into the application. • Magic Palette Generation: whenever you create a new palette, Paletter will automatically offer a pre-generated palette which you can remove or reshuffle. With nearly infinite color combinations, you’re guaranteed to find what you want! Plus, four small improvements to prep for version four :) • Improved Settings panel, particularly with the ability to indent text in the “Custom Copy” input box (because real developers indent using tabs instead of spaces!) • Lifted limit of 15 colors and 15 palettes to 50 of each (this was just due to a UI limitation) • Added many new shortcuts; most exciting: Command + [ to navigate left and Command + ] to navigate right • Bug fixes and performance enhancements I’m going to take a small break before the “final version”.. version four.. I guess I’ll have to come up with four new features then? But… I’m running low on new ideas! (Maybe.) Let me know what you want to see next! Introducing Color Ninja 2.1! - Support for CMYK! (optional via Settings) - Enhancements to Base Color sidebar - see if you can spot them all ;) - New shortcut: Command + T will toggle the # before color codes - Improved ability to remove items from palette sidebar: just drag the color tile out from the sidebar, left top or right :) - Bug fixes and... performance optimizations (!) And a bonus experimental feature! - When you press the W, B, or G key, you can activate the white, black or gray mode - which will override the app interface with a white, black or gray background so you can better evaluate your color selection. - This feature will be available until version 3, before which it will be decided to keep it or try something different. Thanks to everyone who has gotten in touch with their feedback for Color Ninja. I'm happy to deliver the latest batch of features: 1- New Palette Sidebar: you can now store up to 15 lists of colors, with up to 15 colors each! The new drag-and-drop functionality will make it a breeze. 2- New HSL and RGB Scrubbers: virtually every color tool has sliders that let you adjust the HSL and RGB values, but tend to be visually distracting. The solution is a new "scrubber" interface, which drops down the color scale only when necessary. 3- HSL color picker: Color Ninja has a 560x560px RGB picker, which is quite possibly, the largest in the world! Now, Color Ninja will have an equally large HSL picker to suit your preference. 4- New Custom Color Copy Settings: Previously, Color Ninja supported RGB and HSL on their traditional scales. Now, RGB and HSL can also be picked on 0-1 scales, and 0-100 scales. 5- Fix the bug with the macOS Color Picker Widget: it would sometimes miss the first color you pick, but now it works 100% of the time, every time.
