Japanese Passport Photo - Success
I needed a photo to renew my Japanese passport and living in the US, not all local drug stores/office supply stores offer the size of photo needed for this purpose. I took a picture using my phone (I used a ring light and stood in front of a white wall to make it easier for the app) uploaded it to this app. It removed the shadow and made the photo appropriate to use as a passport photo, I then chose Japanese passport for the size and paid for the photo to be delivered to my house. The process was easy and seamless, but this is where I hit a snag. The photo came within the week, but the photos were cut. The cutting was sloppy and all of the photos were cut smaller than the required photo size. Additionally the Japanese passport requirements mentioned to bring the sheet of photos uncut.
I contacted the team for this app and they quickly sent a new sheet of photos, uncut, free of charge, and within the week.
I am happy to report that the Japanese consulate has accepted the photo.
Even though there was a snag, the team was responsive, professional, and quick to provide help. And the whole process worked.
I can recommend this app to anyone in my position. (Just as an FYI, I did end up getting photos as Staples just as a backup. That worked fine as well.)

Don’t use this App
I had to take a picture last minute after hours I thought I would be able to use. My photo was accepted by the AI verification, but upon further review the human verification denied my photo. I went into my local DMV the next morning and they advised me to take the picture back where I had it printed to get a refund because it could not be used. My chin was barely sticking out of the required line up for the photo. I got a refund from Walgreens who printed the photo. I told this app about what happened and they said they needed proof it was denied. I already returned my photo to Walgreens and got a full refund I don’t have the photo anymore. I uploaded the photo that I did use, that was taken at the DMV. They still needed to see the proof it was denied. It’s so frustrating wasting money on something I didn’t use that was initially approved. If Walgreens who printed the photo gave me a refund why would you not refund me as well? Walgreens went above and beyond for your mistake and you still won’t help me out. Don’t ever use this app!!! Go into your local DMV and have them take a correct picture you can use. If the AI verification was denied I wouldn’t have used the photo. It wasn’t until 10 minutes later that the human verification came through and said it was denied. I’ve told all my friends, family, and co workers to never use this and go into the DMV instead. I hope no one has to go through what I did. Complete waste of money.

Easy and fast
My mother in law needed to have her passport renew. I went to several Walgreens and they stop taking passport photos because of COVID. I did some research online and came across photo aid app. Took pictures of my mother in law and submit it. Took a few minutes for the experts to review and sent confirmation that the photo is accepted and will be ship out.
After 5 days of waiting, I look at the confirmation email and realized maybe I had imputed my address incorrectly and email customer service. But instead of waiting for a reply, I had placed another order just in case the first one was wrong. But after a few hours, Jessica from photo aid reassure me that the address in the first order is fine and I will received them. I then told her I placed a second order, and asked if that can be refunded. She answered quickly and said it would be easier if she refunded the first order. Having that said, I got the pictures on the 6th day and the refund on the 7th day. The customer services is stellar and I showed my mother in law the pictures and she’s so happy with them. I’m so happy I found this app for future use!
