Description

Zip around the web with a small web browser in the menu bar!

WebBuddy is a WebKit-based browser in your menu bar, built for previewing links from your favorite apps such as Mail, Messages, or Slack, and lightning-quick web searches, all without having to manage your Safari, Chrome or Firefox windows.

It reduces clutter in your main browser, so you can focus more on your work / project / research, without getting derailed by all those browser windows and tabs.

With WebBuddy, you can search your favorite websites instantly with a hotkey. Just hit 'Command+Shift+L' to search the web without leaving the app you were working in, then hit Escape to dismiss the search and get right back to where you were. Without ever having to dig out your Safari or Chrome window, or create a new one when you find out there wasn't one open.

It's great to quickly grab reference information, find a nearby coffee shop nearby, or look up the answer to a question, finding your browser window or opening and closing tabs.

WebBuddy is for power users who juggle many native apps containing web content, so they can keep their main browsers uncluttered.

Be more productive on your Mac with WebBuddy.

Fixes a problem, doubly so

This app resolves a major workflow issue for those of us who are constantly opening up new browser tabs just to look up a piece of information. The ability to "preview" web links seems like a gap in the functionality of MacOS, especially for someone who moves back and forth from iPadOS. WebBuddy fixes that gap.

The developer was also incredibly responsive in fixing a bug I was experiencing where an extra blank window was being generated when a link was clicked!

Handy

I have been wanting something like this for a long time! I always have a hundred tabs open in my browsers and just want to take a look at one page without reopening all those tabs because it takes a while. This app helps so me so much with that.

It Opens Links In A Pop Up Browser!

This app is genius. It's simple. It opens links, in a mini, popup browser that floats... over the link... you just clicked! Which means, when you click a link in any app like evernote, or ulysses, or anything, instead of opening a full, clunky browser like chrome or safari, a little mini popup window appears next to the link you just clicked, displaying the page... you just clicked! It plays youtube videos. It renders webpages perfectly. It's a freaking mini browser!
